Patent number: 11199221Abstract: A roller guide wheel contains a single set of spherical bearings and is constructed with a precision outer race machined into the guide wheel interior and an inner race formed by the surfaces of two conically-tapered set screws that affix the roller guide wheel within a housing made part of a stage slider. The roller guide wheel, which contacts a rail on one side of the stage body and exhibits a non-nutating axis of rotation, serves as way for the translating slider. The way on the opposing side of the slider is a set of v-groove contacts that make sliding contact with a rail on the corresponding side of the stage body. A flexure is machined into the slider permitting preload of the slider contacts points with the rails. The stage geometry permits a large slider through-hole and the use of alternative way mechanisms with the roller guide wheel.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2020Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: Mauro Commercial Industries of Vero Beach, LLCInventor: Donna Christine Mauro

Patent number: 11200109Abstract: Techniques involve in response to receiving, from a failure analysis device, a request for obtaining a to-be-analyzed data block in a set of raw data blocks in a data file related to a failure of an operating system, determining a position of the to-be-analyzed data block in a compressed file for the data file, the request comprising a position of the to-be-analyzed data block in the data file. The techniques further involve determining, based on the position of the to-be-analyzed data block in the compressed file, a compressed data block in the compressed file corresponding to the to-be-analyzed data block. The techniques further involve sending the compressed data block to the failure analysis device for analyzing the failure. Accordingly, the time for analyzing the failure may be saved, the amount of data transmission and the resources occupied by decompression may be reduced, and the processing efficiency may be improved.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2020Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Haohan Zhang, Dezheng Zhang, Liangliang Liu, Lei Shi, Wangyuan Li

Patent number: 11202085Abstract: Innovations in hash table construction and hash-based block matching for image encoding or video encoding are described. For example, an encoder determines hash values for base-size candidate blocks in a reference picture. The encoder stores, in a hash table, the hash values for the base-size candidate blocks. The encoder encodes a trial-size current block in a current picture. In some cases, the trial-size current block has a block size larger than the base block size. As part of the encoding, the encoder uses hash-based block matching, between base-size current blocks of the trial-size current block and the base-size candidate blocks, to identify a trial-size matching block, if any, in the reference picture. The encoder stores hash values only for the base-size candidate blocks. This can significantly reduce the computational cost and memory cost for hash table construction during encoding, without hurting compression efficiency or the overall speed of encoding.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2020Date of Patent: December 14, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Thomas W.
