Abstract: A medical containment enclosure defines an internal chamber configured to receive at least part of a patient during a medical procedure, with the enclosure operable to fluidly connect to a suction device. The enclosure includes a containment housing, an access portal, and a suction port. The containment housing at least partly defines the chamber. The access portal defines an orifice that permits chamber ingress and egress. The suction port fluidly communicates with the chamber and is fluidly connectable to the suction device to permit the suction device to draw fluid from the chamber. The access portal restricts fluid flow through the orifice so that fluid removal by the suction device is operable to reduce an internal chamber pressure below an external pressure and thereby restrict aerosols from exiting the chamber via the access portal.

Abstract: Conventional vehicle lifts typically operate at a standard speed that is statically configured for the system, which may result in vehicles that are below the weight rating for the lift being raised at the standard speed while the lift motor is capable of safely raising at greater speeds. A set of lift controls may be configured to determine the load on the motor by a vehicle of an unknown weight during operation at a standard lift speed and use such information to determine a potential speed that the motor may raise the vehicle at while staying within safe operational levels for the motor. One or more of a magnitude of electrical power drawn, a pressure generated by a hydraulic lifting, or a sensed vehicle weight may be used to provide an indication of load on the motor and/or a higher potential speed.

Abstract: The present invention enables the selection of network routes based on a combination of traditional route table entries, identity policy information, and trust level information determined dynamically for each network session. This enables a network operator to apply different policies to network entities presenting differing identity credentials. It also allows network operators to block access to networks and network resources when identity credentials are not provided or are unauthorized.

One example embodiment is a method including: operating the switching power converter such that a charge control switch has a conduction time in each switching cycle; and making adjustments to the conduction time, the adjustments dominated by voltage-mode control when the switching power supply is in a first operational state, and the adjustments dominated by current-mode control when the switching power supply is in a second operational state distinct from the first operational state.
Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a variable, BitDepth, that may be set at a value based on a number of bits used to represent pixels in pictures of a video. The variable may be used in syntax elements in HEVC, such as the HEVC range extension, but other coding standards may be used. By using the variable, different resolutions for the video may be accommodated during the encoding and decoding process. For example, the number of pixels in the pictures may be represented by 8 bits, 10 bits, 12 bits, or another number of bits depending on the resolution. Using the BitDepth variable in the syntax provides flexibility in the motion estimation and motion compensation process. For example, syntax elements used in the weighted prediction process may take into account different numbers of bits used to represent the pictures.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus including processing circuitry for video decoding. The processing circuitry is configured to decode coding information for a current block. The coding information can indicate that the current block is coded in a string copy mode. The processing circuitry is configured to determine a string vector (SV) and a string length of a current string in the current block based on the coding information. The string length can be N3 times L where N3 and L are positive integers, and L is larger than 1. The processing circuitry is configured to reconstruct the current string based on the SV and the string, length of the current string. In an example, the current block is a luma block and L is 4.
