  • Patent number: 6223883
Abstract: The invention relates to a transfer device for goods delivered on a first conveyor device, particularly cans, which are transferred in groups, as a row in the direction of conveyance of said first conveyor device, from said first conveyor device to a second conveyor device, the depositing of the goods onto the second conveyor device taking place in the manner that said row extends transverse to its direction of conveyance, having a receiving device which holds the corresponding group of goods upon the transfer and is guided by at least one drive along a path of movement, the receiving device being a suction beam which is connected by a switch device to a source of vacuum, the switch member of which switch device is brought into a vacuum connect position or vacuum disconnect position as a function of the position of the suction beam.

  • Patent number: 5775517
Abstract: The invention is directed to a supporting frame, in particular for a transporting device for transporting flat, preferably surface-coated objects. The supporting frame has a plurality of web parts which are welded together to form a receiving surface for the transported objects. A first web part has a cross-sectional profile having at least one bead which projects above a fastening surface for fastening to a second web part. The bead provides an alignment guide during assembly of the web parts so that none of the web parts protrude above the receiving surface of the support frame. The bead also prevents excess welding materials from protruding above the receiving surface of the support frame. By preventing protrusions of web parts and welding materials above the receiving surface of the support frame, damage to objects transported on the support frame is avoided or eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5460361
Abstract: Sheets that arrive one after another in a horizontal travel direction at a relatively high input speed at an input station are stacked by first displacing the sheets transversely downward as they pass the input station, and then braking the downwardly displaced sheets so that they move in the direction at an output speed that is substantially lower than the input speed. The sheets are then stopped so that they settle downward on a stack in the bin. Since the sheets move downward somewhat before they are braked, the trailing edge of the braked sheet is below the leading edge of the following sheet. In other words a leading edge of a sheet passing through the input station extends in the direction downstream past a trailing edge of the sheet is braked. The sheets are braked by gripping their trailing edges and retarding their downstream movement. This gripping can be effected by suction or, in the case of ferromagnetic sheets, magnetically.

  • Patent number: 5394734
Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for determining the mist concentration in a humidified air flow of a ventilating device, preferably a ventilating or air-conditioning installation. It is characterized by a plurality of moisture precipitation elements (12) having different geometrical dimensions which are arranged in the air flow (2) and are provided with a moisture sensor device (9). The invention is further directed to an air washer for humidifying an air flow in a ventilating installation.

  • Patent number: 5213196
Abstract: A support frame for continuous conveying installations for flat, thin and bendable objects used in drying tunnels of a tunnel for thermal treatment. The support frame has a shape which causes the object to be bent about an axis which is in a vertical plane extending in axial direction of the conveying installation. As a result, when the object is moved upwardly into an approximately vertical position prior to or during transport, the object is prevented from being deformed about an axis which extends approximately perpendicularly to the axial direction.
