    Abstract: An AC LED lamp adaptive to ambient luminance has a lamp shell, an LED lamp board, an LED driving circuit and a luminance sensor. The LED lamp board, the LED driving circuit and the luminance sensor are mounted inside the lamp shell and are electrically connected to each other. The luminance sensor is mounted on the LED lamp board, is capable of sensing light emitted from the LED lamp board. Multiple LED elements on the LED lamp board are alternately driven to turn on and turn off and a luminance signal is sensed by the luminance sensor while the LED elements are driven to turn off. As the luminance signal contains an ambient luminance only, accurate ambient luminance for the lamp can be therefore acquired.

    Abstract: A current-shunting AC LED driving circuit has a rectification unit, an LED unit, a voltage-controlled transistor, a shunt resistor, a current detection unit and a steady current control unit. The LED unit and the rectification unit constitute a power loop and acquire a pulsed DC power through the rectification unit. The voltage-controlled transistor and the current detection unit are serially connected to the power loop. The steady current control unit acquires an average loop current through the current detection unit to control the voltage-controlled transistor so that the LED unit can stably emit light. The shunt resistor is parallelly connected to the voltage-controlled transistor to constitute a current-shunting path to shunt the loop current flowing through the voltage-controlled transistor so as to reduce the power withstood by the voltage-controlled transistor.

    Abstract: A method for dynamically controlling heat dissipation of an AC LED driving circuit has steps of connecting multiple voltage-controlled transistors and a current detection unit in series to a power loop having an LED unit, connecting a resistive element between each adjacent two of the voltage-controlled transistors to constitute multiple stages of power distribution units, detecting a voltage and a current of the power loop and calculating a consumed power value, and switching to one of the stages of power distribution units with a power range in which the current power value falls. As the higher stage of power distribution unit has more resistive elements for current to flow therethrough, it can share the power of the single-chip voltage-controlled transistor when the LED unit having higher power is used, thereby avoiding overheated condition and malfunction of the voltage-controlled transistor.

    Abstract: A continuous dimming AC LED device is operated in association with a dimmer. When the dimmer adjusts brightness, the voltage supplied to the AC LED driver is reduced to decrease the brightness of an LED unit. When the supplied voltage is reduced to a working voltage required by the AC LED driver, a control unit detects the supplied voltage being lower than the working voltage. A control end of a voltage-controlled switch disconnects from the AC LED driver and connects to a power supply. Therefore, even the supply voltage is below the working voltage of the AC LED driver, the LED unit is prevented from being immediately turned off to maintain some brightness. With the dimmer, the brightness of the LED continuously and gradually changes from full brightness to darkness.

    Abstract: A high-voltage driver integratable with an integrated circuit has a switching transistor, a switching diode, a first resistor, a second resistor, and a control transistor. The anode of the switching diode is connected to the source of the switching transistor. The cathode of the switching diode is connected to the gate of the switching transistor. When the source voltage of the switching transistor is far greater than the cut-in voltage of the switching diode, the switching diode is forward-biased, and the gate-source voltage of the switching transistor is equal to the negative cut-in voltage. Accordingly, high voltage will not be generated across the gate-source junction of the switching transistor, no junction breakdown will occur between the gate and source thereof, and the high-voltage driver can be integrated with an integrated circuit.

    Abstract: An arrester includes a switch and a lightning detection breaker connected to the switch. The lightning detection breaker includes a metal conducting terminal electrically connected to an earth return, a DC power supply terminal, a ground terminal and an output terminal. When the power supply is under a lightning strike, a potential difference of both the DC power supply terminal and the ground terminal of the lightning detection breaker will go up to several thousands of volts. However, a voltage of the metal conducting terminal will not go up because the metal conducting terminal is electrically connected to the earth return. The switch will automatically become open circuit by the lightning detection breaker, and therefore an electronic device connected to the arrester is protected from damage done by the lightning.

    Abstract: A flicker-free LED driver circuit with a high power factor has a rectifying unit connected with an AC power source, an LED module connected in series with the rectifying unit, a capacitor module connected in parallel with the LED module, and a constant current circuit connected in series with the LED module and the capacitor module. When the voltage output by the rectifying unit is smaller than a junction voltage of the LED module, the capacitor module discharges to the LED module so that the LED module does not go out, thereby eliminating the flickering.
