    Abstract: A sensor assembly for detecting an object and a method of forming a sensor port in sheet metal are disclosed. The sensor assembly includes at least one electromagnetic source for emitting electromagnetic waves. The sensor assembly also includes at least one electromagnetic receiver for receiving the electromagnetic waves after reflecting from the object and corresponding with a detection of the object in proximity to the sensor assembly. In addition, the sensor assembly includes a filter cover disposed adjacent to and covering the at least one electromagnetic source and the at least one electromagnetic receiver configured to allow the electromagnetic waves to pass therethrough while reflecting visible light, thereby concealing the at least one electromagnetic source and the at least one electromagnetic receiver.

The vehicular driver monitoring system adjusts viewing of the body portion of the driver by the camera to accommodate a change in a scene viewed by the camera.

The central server processes the wirelessly received vehicle data and environment data. Responsive to the determination that the vehicle is at or approaching the hazardous condition, the vehicular central monitoring system (i) alerts a driver of the vehicle of the determined hazardous condition and/or (ii) controls a vehicle system of the vehicle to mitigate the determined hazardous condition.

Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is transferred to and is processed at an electronic control unit (ECU). 3D point-cloud LIDAR data captured by the forward-sensing 3D point-cloud LIDAR sensor is transferred to and processed at the ECU. Responsive at least in part to processing at the ECU of 3D point-cloud LIDAR data captured by the forward-sensing 3D point-cloud LIDAR sensor, a traffic participant present forward of the equipped vehicle is detected.

The ECU, responsive to the DNN determining the position of the trailer and based on the classification, generates an output to autonomously control the vehicle to align the vehicle with the trailer and navigate the vehicle toward the trailer.

The partially reflective element is configured to pass one of the infrared detection radiation and the visible light and to reflect the other of the infrared detection radiation and the visible light, such that the object sensing subsystem senses the object in a line-scan-gated mode.

When speed of the vehicle increases by a multiple of a vehicle speed increment above the initial vehicle soft lock speed, the system sets an increased vehicle soft lock speed and maintains the vehicle speed at the increased vehicle soft lock speed when the vehicle speed reduces to the increased vehicle soft lock speed by coasting.

The system, responsive to determining that the difference between the arrival time of the equipped vehicle at the intersection and the arrival time of the cross-traffic threat is less than a threshold amount, controls a safety system of the vehicle.

With the lens aligned relative to the imager, the filler material is heated via non-contact brazing to melt and flow into the gap. The melted filler material hardens upon cooling to secure the lens barrel relative to the lens holder and the imager PCB.
