    Abstract: A connector assembly comprises a connector and a temperature sensor. The connector includes a connector housing formed with a sensor slot, and a conductive terminal arranged in the connector housing. The temperature sensor is inserted into the sensor slot and is adapted to detect a temperature of the conductive terminal in the connector. The sensor includes a shell having a first sidewall in thermal contact with the conductive terminal, and a second sidewall opposite to the first sidewall. The second sidewall defines an interference fit portion extending from an outer surface thereof. The interference fit portion forms an interference fit with an inner wall of the sensor slot. A remaining portion of the second sidewall except for the interference fit portion is separated from the inner wall of the sensor slot by a predetermined gap. The sensor further includes a temperature sensing element arranged in the shell.

    Abstract: A load detector includes a housing having a height direction, and a load sensor provided within the housing. The load detector further includes a base platform, an elastic beam and an elastic member, the base being floatingly supported on the housing by the elastic beam, and the elastic member being provided on the base platform for receiving a load force. With the load force is applied to the elastic member, the elastic beam and the elastic member are simultaneously elastically deformed in the height direction, and the load force is transmitted to the load sensor via the base platform. The base platform is floatingly supported on the housing by the elastic beam, so that a high sensitivity of the load sensor may be enabled and the load sensor may be prevented from damage caused by excessive load.

    Abstract: An implantable pressure sensor is disclosed that has a small diameter and eliminates any dead zone in the flow of the pressure transmission medium, and is thus particularly adapted for implantation. In one embodiment the pressure sensor comprises a body including a cavity for receiving a liquid, and a planar mounting surface extending in an axial direction of the body. A diaphragm is attached to the pressure sensor body for transmitting an external medium pressure to the liquid in the cavity. A pressure detection chip is mounted on the mounting surface of the pressure sensor body for detecting a pressure of the liquid within the cavity, and a circuit hoard is mounted on the planar mounting surface of the body and is electrically connected to the pressure detection chip resulting in a device of smaller diameter particularly suited for implantation.

The base wall includes an aperture extending from a mounting surface to the cavity. The aperture includes a fastener therein to secure the sensing package within the cavity. The fastener is sized having a cross-section dimension taken through a center axis of the fastener that is greater than that of a cross-section dimension of the piezoelectric element taken along the fastener center axis. In an example, the fastener has a cross-section dimension sized about 10 percent or greater in dimension than that of the respective cross-section dimension of the piezoelectric element.
