  • Patent number: 9696033
Abstract: The aim is to provide a gas control valve in which the specified desired value range can be subsequently shifted easily in order to optimize the range of settable temperatures for the heating device without exceeding the device- and/or installation-specific admissible use conditions. To this end, a setting element (17) which serves to change the position of a temperature-sensitive element (8) and thus to actuate a switch for activating a valve has a threaded part (12) that is screwable into the housing (1) of the gas control valve. In this case, the two are connected together in a rotationally secure manner via a releasable locking mechanism, wherein a tubular latching part (14) that is firmly connected to the threaded part (12) is arranged between the pot-like setting element (17), partially surrounding the threaded part (12) with a recess (18), and the threaded part (12).

  • Patent number: 9523501
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a gas regulator fitting that ensures simple manual operation. In particular, activation and deactivation, respectively, are to be made possible with one motion. Furthermore, the invention aims to ensure that even in the event the voltage source malfunctions, the gas regulator fitting will be deactivated. To accomplish this, an ignition safety magnet (34) is excited by a current flowing over a first micro switch (13) when the gas regulator fitting is activated by means of the manual actuation of a tappet (10) having selector contours (15; 16) in a longitudinal direction against the force of a return spring (12).

  • Publication number: 20160215977
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a system for controlling combustion air supply, in which the air supply to the primary and secondary air supply can be infinitely variable. The object is also to enable said system to be retrofitted in furnaces having a primary and a secondary air supply. To achieve this, a housing (1) having an internal, pot-shaped insert (5) provided with radial openings (9; 10) associated with either the primary air supply (7) or the secondary air supply (8) of the furnace is located between the furnace and the supply line for the combustion air, the cross-sections of said openings being infinitely variable via a pivotally mounted (17) motion link, the rotary angle of which is restricted by one or more stops (19). The motion link (17) is actuated by means of a drive unit (13) which in turn can be controlled by a control unit (23).

  • Patent number: 9201429
Abstract: The intention is to provide an actuator which makes it possible to change the opening time and to manually lock the supply of gas. For this purpose, the actuator consists of a housing (9) which is closed by a cover (10). A working diaphragm (8) is clamped between the housing (9) and the cover (10) and subdivides a space enclosed by the housing (9) and the cover (10) into a working pressure chamber (11) and an outlet pressure chamber (13). A lever (15) which is supported on the working diaphragm (8) and acts on a gas valve (2) via a drive plunger (16) is pivotably mounted in the housing (9). The actuator also has an adjustable pressure control valve (6) and a solenoid valve (7). When an inlet pressure line (12) is closed, the solenoid valve (7) opens a connecting channel (28) between the working pressure chamber (11) and the outlet pressure chamber (13). In contrast, in the open position, the inlet pressure line (12) is connected to the working pressure chamber (11) and to the pressure chamber (21).

  • Patent number: 9157636
Abstract: A gas regulating fitting that ensures simple manual operation is to be created. In particular, the device is to be capable of being switched both on and off in one operation. To that end, a microswitch (12) connected to an electronic control unit is arranged on the housing (1). The microswitch is operated when a tappet (10) arranged axially to the safety pilot valve (26) and the main valve (19) is manually operated. The electronic control unit thereby receives an electrical signal whereby the gas regulating fitting is activated in its switched-off state, and the gas flow flowing through the open safety pilot valve (26) is therefore ignited, whereas the holding current flowing to the thermoelectric safety pilot valve (26) is interrupted in the switched-on state of the gas regulating fitting, and the gas regulating fitting is therefore deactivated. The gas regulating fitting can be used to ignite and regulate a gas flow flowing to a burner.

  • Patent number: 9151497
Abstract: A gas regulator fitting is to be devised that prevents distortions of the temperature value to be regulated caused by ambient temperature fluctuations. Retrofitting without intervention into the gas-conducting space is also to be made possible. To that end, one or more bimetal discs (17) are arranged outside the gas-conducting space of the gas regulator fitting, between an operating element (18) for setting the required temperature and a longitudinally movable ram (8) whose position can be altered by means of metal bellows (9) which are connected to a temperature sensor (11) by a capillary line (10). The ram (8) protruding into the gas-conducting space activates a switch which controls a valve for regulating the gas stream to the main burner. The bimetal discs (17) are arranged in such a manner that their overall height, which is altered in the direction of movement of the ram (8) depending on the ambient temperature, can influence the position of the metal bellows (9).

  • Publication number: 20150090197
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to devise a flow control for a continuous-flow water heater, which is used to control the flow of gas to a burner of a heat exchanger as a function of the passage of water, in which only one operating element has to be actuated. Because of the reduction in the apertures through the housing wall of the flow control, at the same time the risk leaks occurring is reduced. Furthermore, the expenditure in manufacturing is to be minimized. To this end, in addition to the operating element (8), a switching element (9) is rotatably mounted on a spindle (7) projecting from the water-carrying housing (5), wherein a rotary movement of the operating element (8) can be transmitted via drivers (10; 11) to the switching to element (9), which also has a switching contour (13) by means of which a fixedly arranged microswitch (14) can be actuated, by means of which an electronic ignition and monitoring device (3) can be electrically actuated, by means of which gas flow to the burner can be shut off.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for igniting a gas flow by means of remote control. The aim of the invention is to maintain the current consumption so low that an integratable voltage source can be used. To this end, a thermoelectric safety pilot valve (17) is opened and the escaping gas ignited by the actuation of an electronic control unit (5) fed by a voltage source. Said thermoelectric safety pilot valve (17) is maintained open by a safety pilot magnet (18) by means of a holding current from the voltage source until a thermocouple (22) provides the required holding current once the gas flow has been ignited or a defined holding time is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 8662101
Abstract: A device suitable for retrofitting in laid pipelines is intended to be able to be placed and fixed in place in the pipeline. Transport of the device to the installation location is intended to be performed using as little force as necessary, and the sealing element is intended to be displaced without contact and thus without wear. To this end, the device, in the interior of which a shut-off device (6) is disposed, is designed so that an offset, conically tapering region (10) is adjacent to a front cylindrical region (3) and is bounded by a stop collar (12) on which a connecting contour (7) for a coupling piece of a drive element is connected. A sliding piece (13) made of an expandable material is displaceably disposed in the axial direction on the conically tapering region (10), comprising a circumferential groove in which a spring-loaded clamping ring (15) is supported.
