  • Patent number: 10878138
Abstract: A method of managing proxy objects within CAD Models by attaching Meta Data to each Proxy and HD Object and translating 2D coordinates into 3D coordinates from within a 3D CAD model with additional data being added through a 360 viewer. The method enables the user to programmatically swap one Proxy Object with one or more HD Objects. All Proxy Objects and HD Objects are stored in a secure database structure while providing access by users to the proxy objects and all related product information. Non-technical and non-CAD users can configure objects within a space by selecting an object, browsing a catalog of possible alternative objects, viewing specific product details and then selecting the object to replace the selected object. Once a new object is selected, a photo realistic 360 image of a scene is created in real time.

  • Patent number: 10685148
Abstract: Disclosed aspects relate to managing a set of spatial zones associated with an architectural layout. A first spatial zone of the set of spatial zones is detected. The first spatial zone has a first spatial zone size value. By comparing the first spatial zone size value with a threshold spatial zone size value, it is determined to convert the first spatial zone. Based on proximity, a group of conversion candidates is identified from the set of spatial zones. Based on the first spatial zone and the group of conversion candidates, a second spatial zone is determined using an architectural criterion. Using the second spatial zone, a design-model of the architectural layout is established.

  • Patent number: 10302323
Abstract: Monitoring airflows through fan arrays and adjusting fan speeds during air handling system operations to dynamically provide and/or maintain balanced discharge airflows. An air handling system controller utilizes fan speed and airflow data values of each fan array to determine whether a fan speed setpoint of the fans of a fan array should be increased or decreased in order to balance the airflow through each fan array. When an increase or decrease in the fan speed setpoint is required, the controller adjusts the fan speeds accordingly.

  • Patent number: 10274221
Abstract: A heat exchanger for exchanging heat between air streams in two horizontally spaced ducts of a ventilation system. The heat exchanger includes a plurality of single-loop heat pipes, each with top and bottom legs extending along a heat pipe axis. A frame permanently mounts the heat pipes in the ventilation system so that sections of the legs are received in each duct and the legs are inclined with respect to a horizontal axis. The frame can define a non-rectangular interior. Heat pipe mounting features spaced apart along a width of the frame that can be offset along the height of the frame. A top or bottom of the frame can have an inclined inner side. In use, the frame is arranged in the ducts so that the inclined heat pipes provide whole-year heat recovery in cooling and heating modes.

  • Patent number: 10214897
Abstract: A hanger bracket for mounting a skewed beam at a junction of two adjacent beams includes a supporting section configured to support the skewed beam. Fixing flanges substantially perpendicular to the supporting section are configured for attaching the bracket to the adjacent beams along surfaces of the fixing flanges positioned to engage respective ones of the adjacent beams when attached thereto. The surfaces define planes that are non-parallel and non-coincident with each other. Reinforcing faces are located between the supporting section and each of the fixing flanges. The reinforcing faces are inclined relative to the supporting section and fixing flanges. Holes in at least one of the supporting section and the reinforcing faces are configured to receive fasteners to secure the skewed beam to the hanger bracket.

  • Patent number: 10179991
Abstract: A method of fabricating a biaxial moment resisting column assembly allows the column assembly to be formed with a minimum of external fixturing. A column of the column assembly functions as a jig for sequentially attaching each gusset plate to the column and in some instances to other gusset plates to form a gusset plate assembly of the column assembly. In some embodiments, all welds used to form the gusset plate assembly are made in the horizontal welding position. Movement of the column to different positions can be achieved by rotation about its longitudinal axis.
