The tubes and the header are strongly bonded to each other, and Zn is uniformly diffused and distributed. So, the heat exchanger shows good corrosion resistance.

The aluminum alloy plate contains 0.1 to 0.6% of Fe, 0.01 to 0.2% of Si, 5 to 150 ppm of Cu, and balance of Al and unavoidable impurities and has a surface layer portion formed of a metastable phase dispersion layer in which metastable phase AlFe-based intermetallic compound particles are dispersed. The metastable intermetallic compound particles each act as a starting point for pits. The alloy plate is formed with a roughed surface which is reduced in unetching and uniformly formed with pits, by electrolytic etching.

    Abstract: A long continuous tube, strip or like material has a coating of brazing powders applied and formed thereon. It may be cut to sections of specific length when actually used. A uniform coating of brazing powders is applied in specific quantities and fixed onto the long continuous tube, strip or like material. A travel path has a tube made from aluminum or aluminum alloy running therealong. At least one spray gun section projects a coating mixture of brazing powders toward the travel path. A pressurized air supply section supplies pressurized air to the spray gun section, and a coating mixture supply section includes a coating mixture circulating arrangement and a feed line. A drying section is provided downstream of each respective spray gun section, and a rewinding section is provided at the end of the travel path.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a heat exchanger core in which a fluid is caused to flow through a pipe body rectangular in cross section so that the heat exchange is effected between the flowing fluid and a heat medium in contact with the outer walls of the pipe body. Within the pipe body, a plurality of projections and/or grooves for flowing the fluid at an inclined angle with respect to the direction of the flow of the fluid (the axis of the heat exchanger core) and the streams flow through the inclined passages, respectively, and then are reversed in direction. Such a flow pattern is repeated so that the efficiency of heat transfer by conduction can be improved without the noticeable increase in pressure loss.
