  • Patent number: 8608174
Abstract: The present invention provides a leaf seal device which is available to assemble easily and to control and to set an inclination angle and a space of a sealing section. In the leaf seal device of the present invention, a connection holding section 21 of a sealing plate 12 is bent at a first bending section 22. Thereby, since laminated a plurality of sealing plates 12 are engaged sequentially at the first bending section 22, a radial direction is defined so as to become easily assemble. Also, according to inclining a face 24 at an inner circumferential side of the connection holding section 21, a pitch and a space of a sealing section 31 are changed. Therefore, the space of the sealing section can be controlled, if controlling a bend angle of the first bending section 22.

  • Patent number: 8217624
Abstract: An object is to improve safety. Provided is a power storage system including a battery apparatus 1; a power converter 2 provided between the battery apparatus 1 and a load 3 and that can control power supplied from the battery apparatus 1 to the load 3; and a battery monitoring circuit 4 that detects an abnormality in the battery apparatus 1. When an abnormality in the battery apparatus 1 is detected by the battery monitoring circuit 4, the power converter 2 supplies power stored in the battery apparatus 1 to the load 3 or to an internally provided internal load at or below a current value or power value that is set in advance, or alternatively, at a current value or power value that the load 3 demands, within a range that does not exceed an upper limit that is set in advance.

  • Patent number: 3940334
Abstract: A method for separating oil from water, wherein, in order to simplify the treatment processes, to improve separation efficiency, and to make possible the recycling of added solvents, in the course of separation treatment of oil from waste water containing fats and oils, paraffinic hydrocarbons of low specific gravities, as extractive solvents for fats and oils, and inorganic or organic coagulants are added to the waste water; the mixture is then stirred and allowed to stand; the oil-containing scum separating as an upper layer is then removed so as to separate the oil from water, and furthermore, the solvent previously added is recovered from the oil-containing scum so removed by means of distillation.
