Abstract: A centrifuge comprising a basin (9) adapted to receive centrifuged juice and in which is disposed a basket (1) comprising a perforated screen (2) and a lower ring (3) which is adapted to couple in rotation with a drive (4) secured to a motor shaft (5) and which comprises a skirt (8) extending downwardly and outwardly. The basin (9) has in its lower portion a gutter (11) limited toward the drive (4) by a small circular collar (12) extending upwardly between the drive (4) and the skirt (8). The skirt (8) of the basket (1) has on its lower wall (15) vanes (16) adapted to create, during rotation of the basket (1), an air current directed downwardly and toward the periphery (14) of the basin (9), so as to retain the juice in the gutter (11).
Abstract: A centrifuge basket (1) comprising a perforated screen (2) having a surface of rotation with a vertical axis, an upper rim (3) and a lower ring (4) adapted to be coupled in rotation with a drive (5) fixed to a motor shaft. The upper rim (3) comprises dynamic pressure means (8), exerting during rotation of the basket (1) a force (R) oriented downwardly and contributing to maintenance of the connection between the lower ring (4) and the drive (5). Such a basket is particularly useful in domestic centrifuges of the type that might be used in the home.
Abstract: Apparatus for kneading and cooking, comprises a bowl (1) removably mounted on a base (4) enclosing a drive mechanism (5) adapted to drive in rotation a working tool (8) such as a rotating scraper. Heating elements (10, 11) are provided. The bowl is in the form of a basin (12) and an enclosure (13), the basin being within the enclosure and the two being spaced apart. The heating elements are provided in the space (E) between the basin and the enclosure and are distributed between a lateral heating element (10) and a bottom heating element (11). The heating elements are fed with electric current by disconnectable electrical connection devices (17, 18, 19) provided on the enclosure and the base.
Abstract: A hinge for a cover of a cooking vat, comprising an axle (3) mounted on a bearing (4) secured to the vat and on which pivots the cover, as well as at least one compressible coil spring (5) whose one end (6) is secured to the cover (1) and whose other end (7) is connected to the vat (2). The spring (5) comprises a braking device which comprises a first and a second element (8 and 9) connected for relative rotation, respectively to the ends (6, 7) of the spring and comprising couping means having cam surfaces (12, 13) for axial driving and for braking adapted to compress the spring (5) so as to obtain a shock absorption at the end of the opening movement of the cover. The hinge is applicable particularly to the covers of electric deep fat fryers.

Abstract: Toaster comprising a housing (1) having an upper opening (2) and in the interior of which are disposed at least one heating resistance (3). Two grills (5, 6) for gripping a bread slice to be toasted, are maintained in rest position spaced from each other by a spring (7) and swing each about a lower horizontal axis (8, 9). A bread-carrying carriage (10) is movably vertically mounted between the two grills (5, 6) and is adapted to occupy two positions, an upper position in which the carriage (10) is located in the upper portion of the housing (1), and a toasting position in which the carriage (2) has descended to the bottom (11) of the housing (1) and coacts with the grills (5, 6) to cause them to swing toward each other, so as to maintain the bread gripped, characterized in that each grill (5 or 6) has at its lower portion a rigid arm (13, 14) directed toward the other grill (5 or 6).
Abstract: Electronic weighing device adapted particularly to be mounted in a personal weighing scale and comprising a capacitative collector (C1) forming a measuring condenser whose capacity varies as a function of the weight to be measured and which has for this purpose a first electrode (10) connected mechanically to a weighing platform (12) and a second electrode (14) mounted fixedly in the casing. The measuring condenser is connected to a measuring circuit, which comprises: a reference condenser (C0) mounted in series with the measuring condenser (C1), each of these condensers having an electrode (14, 16) connected to a terminal (18) common to the two condensers and an electrode (20, 10) connected to an external non-common terminal (22, 24).
Abstract: Coffeemaker comprising a filter 20 which is dripped on by a head 18 having a principal opening 30 adapted to drip on the central region of the filter, as well as a series of holes 34 spaced apart about said opening 30 and adapted to drip on the peripheral region of the filter. The head 18 is provided with a valve 38 which is controlled by a timing device 40 which permits flow of hot water through the opening 30 only after a so-called "steeping" period in the course of which the hot water flows only through the holes 34.
Abstract: A microwave oven has a circuit for controlling the supply of electricity to a generator of microwave energy, the circuit having a main switch and movable contact, the opening of which is controlled by a timer. The control circuit also comprises a by-pass circuit mounted in parallel between two points having a pre-programmed timing device in series with the interrupting switch. A commutating mechanism controlled by a user is adapted to both move circuit switch to its open position and to move the interrupting switch to a closed position in which a timing device operates to allow the supply of electricity to the microwave generator.
