  • Patent number: 7113970
Abstract: The multi-mode Multiplier-And-Accumulator of the present invention is used with the double-precision Complex-Valued Multiplier-And Accumulator as a main configuration, and the different precisions and digital modes make it more flexible, compared to the traditional real number Multiplier-And-Accumulator. In addition, it does not have a data alignment problem which occurs in the traditional application of different precision Subword Parallel processors. This kind of Multiplier-And-Accumulator takes a double-precision Complex-Valued Multiplier-And- Accumulator as the main configuration, with four double-precision real-valued multipliers and several groups of accumulators to assist in different modes ofoperation. Each double-precision real- valued multiplier can be segmented into four single-precision multipliers, and then double-precision multiplier products are obtained by means of displacement addition.

  • Patent number: 7003367
Abstract: An equipment management method for managing semiconductor equipment via an equipment manager. In the equipment management method, production scenario rules and equipment behavior rules are first defined respectively in a production scenario database of a configuration controller and an equipment behavior database of an equipment driver. Them, a command is received from a manufacturing execution system (MES), and is converted into a production process scenario by looking up the corresponding production scenario rule in the production scenario database. Thereafter, the production process scenario is converted into a GEI (generic equipment interface) message with a GEI message specification, and the GEI message is transmitted to the equipment driver. Then, the GEI message is converted into equipment communication messages regulated by an equipment communication protocol by looking up the corresponding equipment behavior rule in the equipment behavior database.

  • Patent number: 6819723
Abstract: A digital FM demodulator utilizes delay lines as the timing reference and incorporates the concept of delta-sigma analog-to-digital conversion to implement the function of time-to-digital conversion. The FM demodulator is constructed from delay lines, a multiplexer, a phase detector, a charge pump circuit, a quantizer and a digital integrator. The modulated signal on an intermediate frequency carrier passes through the delay lines and is then phase-compared with the original modulation signal. The comparison produces a pulse which is converted into a voltage and stored in a capacitor by way of the charge pump circuit. The voltage having been accumulated and quantized, a new delayed output signal is acquired to compare its phase with the input signal. Meanwhile, the phase difference between input signal and delayed signal is used to select a delay for the delayed signal for the next cycle. The phase difference is continuously evaluated and adjusted to produce zero phase difference.
