The request is fulfilled by a service that analyzes the audio content to identify the deliverable the person desires.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, methods, software, and devices for edge system health monitoring and auditing. One embodiment, in the form of a method includes performing a system audit over a first network of devices deployed within the facility to determine a status of each respective device. This embodiment further includes determining an overall system status for the facility based on results of the system audit including consideration of a status of each of the devices deployed within the facility and storing data representative of the overall system status of the facility. This embodiment also transmits at least a portion of the data representative of the overall system status of the facility over a second network to a facility system status monitoring application which may then present a single indicator of the overall system status or health.

Abstract: A transaction terminal includes a vertically integrated bagging weigh scale and a vertically integrated scanner. The scale includes two posts that extend horizontally out from the terminal and upon which a bag hangs. Items placed in the bag cause displacement of the posts and/or pressure detected on the posts resulting in a recorded weight by a weight sensor of the scale. A current recorded weight of the bag is reported from the scale to the terminal during a transaction as each item is placed into the bag. The terminal uses the item weights to record prices for those items sold by weight and to verify that items scanned by the scanner and placed in the bag have expected weights for those items.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for protecting an escrow clutch of a self-service terminal. The systems and methods may include actuating a motor of the self-service terminal to cause an escrow clutch of the self-service terminal to spin at a rate. As the clutch spins, a determination as to when a clutch slippage exceeds a preset slippage rate may be made. When the clutch slippage exceeds the preset slippage rate, the motor may be actuated to cause the escrow clutch to spin at a second rate. The second rate may less than the first rate.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for routing transactions from ATMs. In one embodiment, a method is provided that includes receiving a unique identifier that corresponds to a transaction requested by a user. In certain implementations, the unique identifier may be presented to the user by a third party separate from a provider of the ATM. The method may further include routing the unique identifier to an application programming interface affiliated with a provider of the ATM to confirm the transaction's validity. In certain implementations, the method may further comprise implementing the transaction and updating a settlement account to reflect the transaction.

Abstract: A management terminal manages a plurality of Self-Service Terminals (SSTs) for customer-assistance, transaction overrides, theft determinations, and transaction security audits. One or more overhead cameras stream real-time video of the transactions being processed at the SSTs to a server. Transaction data produced in real time at the SSTs are also provided to the server. The video is correlated with the transaction data and evaluated for security events. The video is also cached on the server. An operator of the management terminal can access a video review interface based on events and/or information visually gleaned by the operator during the transactions. The interface permits the operator to view a configured cached portion of the video captured for any given transaction to provide context to the operator for determining whether to perform or whether not to perform a transaction audit.

Abstract: A Point-Of-Sale (POS) processing environment is encapsulated within a container running on a first Operating System (OS) of a transaction terminal. Peripheral drivers for connected peripherals run on a second and different OS of the transaction terminal. A platform processing environment runs the peripheral drivers on the second and different OS of the terminal. A socket interface is provided for communication between transaction applications of the POS processing environment with the peripheral drivers of the platform processing environment for purposes of allowing the transaction applications to control and access the connected peripherals during transactions performed at the transaction terminal via the socket interface.

Abstract: A transaction terminal dynamically and regularly changes a unique transaction terminal identifier (ID). The transaction terminal ID is reported to a remote manager. During a transaction, a mobile device automatically reads a current transaction terminal ID from the transaction terminal, appends a mobile device ID for the mobile device, and sends the transaction terminal ID with the mobile device ID to the remote manager. The remote manager links the mobile ID to details associated with a user of the mobile device and sends the details to the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal uses the details to customize a transaction being conducted by the user at the transaction terminal.

Abstract: A user engages in spoken voice or messaging platform-based natural language dialogues with an automated bot. The bot identifies actions and subjects of the actions from the dialogues and processes Application Programming Interfaces (API) to perform travel-related queries or process travel-related transactions with travel services. Real-time responses to queries or completed transaction notifications are provided back to the user by the bot during the dialogues.

Abstract: A transaction is detected on a terminal. A context for an association of items, bags, shelving, carts, and individuals present during the transaction is maintained from images captured during the transaction. Rules are processed to determine actions to process during the transaction and/or after the transaction based on reported transaction details, the context, and analytics derived from the images for the context. In an embodiment, at least one rule identifies an action that overrides an attendant intervention at the terminal, which would have been issued for a detected weight discrepancy by a scale of the terminal.

Abstract: A transaction terminal provides processing for payment using a cryptocurrency during a transaction being conducted at the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal further provides processing for a refund transaction utilizing cryptocurrency.

Abstract: Multiple cameras capture videos within a secure room. When individuals are detected as entering the room, identities of the individuals are resolved. When an asset is exposed in a field of view of one of the cameras, the individuals' eye and head movements are tracked from the videos with respect to one another and the asset. Additionally, touches made by any of the individuals on the asset are tracked from the videos. The eye and head movements are correlated with the touches or lack of touches according to a security policy for the asset. Any violations of the security policy are written to a secure audit log for the room and the asset.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a secure safe apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a base and a bollard. The bollard comprises a first portion and a second portion manufactured as a single vertical member. The first portion is of sufficient length to extend below a bottom surface of the base into ground at a site where the secure safe apparatus is set. The second portion is of sufficient length to extend through a thickness of the base and above a top surface of the base. The second portion is adapted to be inserted through an aperture in a floor of a safe and affixed to an interior beam manufactured within an inside of the safe to affix the second portion to the beam.

Abstract: A system for use in allowing a user to conduct one or more transactions at one or more touchpoints in a business facility includes an authentication component, a tracking component, and a control component. The authentication component is configured to authenticate the user as a person allowed to conduct the one or more transactions. The tracking component is configured to track the user's location within the facility as the user moves through the facility. The control component is configured (a) to receive authentication information from the authentication component, (b) to receive location information from the tracking component, (c) to use the location information to recognize that the user has moved into position to engage one of the touchpoints, and (d) to deliver a message to the touchpoint authorizing the touchpoint to engage in one or more transactions with the user.

Abstract: A self-service terminal has a bin for storing media items. A mechanism is coupled to the bin that has a pathway for selectively conveying a media item from the bin to a dispenser. A heater device is mounted in the pathway for sanitizing the media item as it is conveyed to the dispenser. The heater device has a heating element set to a predetermined temperature and a roller driven by a motor set to move the media item past the heating element at a predetermined rate of speed. By selecting the predetermined temperature to 116° C. and the predetermined rate of speed to 181 mm/sec, 99.9999% of the viral load of a known type pathogen, i.e., SARS-CoV-2, is eliminated from the media item by the sanitization process.

Abstract: A store having an automated checkout can automatically associate multiple shoppers with a single purchase. For example, a mother and her children can walk independently through the store and select items. Upon checkout, the items selected by the mother and children can all be charged to the mother's credit card in a single purchase. The system and method discussed herein can capture images of multiple shoppers from one or more video streams of a store area, can associate the multiple shoppers with one another from the captured images when the multiple shoppers appear together in a check-in area of the store, can track the movement of the multiple shoppers within the store from the captured images, can track items selected by the multiple shoppers from the captured images, and can initiate a transaction that charges the selected items to an account associated with one of the multiple shoppers.

Abstract: A transaction is identified for a partial rescan security check based at least in part on basket items of the transaction. A total number of rescan items from the basket items is identified for rescan; the total number of rescan items selected for rescan is less than a total number of the basket items in the transaction. Based on the basket items and transaction features for the transaction, item categories or item departments are identified from which the total number of rescan items are to be selected from the basket items for the rescan security check. The total number of rescan items and the item categories for selection are provided to an attendant terminal for the rescan security check. The rescan security check is processed to determine whether the transaction was associated with theft or not associated with theft.

Abstract: An image sensor bridge interface is provided. The interface is situated between an image sensor and a processor. The interface comprises an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit comprises a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) decoupled from both image signals provided from the image sensor and a processor connected to the integrated circuit. The FPGA separates Ultraviolet (UV) and Infrared (IR) data values from image sensor-provided image data and embeds the UV and IR data values within the horizontal blanking, vertical blanking, and/or active video components of a video feed. The video feed provided from the integrated circuit to the processor using a standard video interface, and the processor providing the video feed or providing UV images, IR images, and Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) images separated from the video feed to a computing core of a host device.

Abstract: A media storage bin has a guide member mounted via a hinge adjacent to a wall of an enclosure and a second free end. The guide member directs inserted media items downward and pivots around an axis of the hinge. A base plate is mounted below the guide member in the enclosure and is arranged to hold a stack of inserted media items on a top surface thereof. A motor is coupled to move the base plate up and down within the enclosure. A controller is coupled to control movement of the motor and is configured to provide signals to the motor to move the base plate to a predetermined home position adjacent to the guide member upon startup and move the base plate upward to compress any deformed inserted media items on the base plate until an input feedback signal reaches a predetermined level.
