Abstract: Novel 1,2,3-benzothiadiazole derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which Het has the meanings set forth in the specification,and addition products thereof with an acid or metal salt are very effective for the control of undesired microorganisms.Novel intermediates of the formulae ##STR2## in which Het.sup.1 and R.sup.5 have the meanings given in the specification.

Abstract: The following invention introduces a patch preparation for treating plants, whereas the patch preparations comprise a chemical layer composed of at least one agrochemically active compound, at least one adhesive and optionally, one or more additives. The components are dispersed in a matrix state on a substrate which are then introduced on the roots of the plant to be treated.

Abstract: Novel chloropyridylcarbonyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which Het is ##STR2## n is 1 or 2, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, optionally substituted C.sub.1-6 alkyl, optionally substituted C.sub.2-6 alkenyl, optionally substituted C.sub.3-6 alkynyl, optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted pyrimidinyl, andR.sup.2 and R.sup.3, independently of each other, are hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 alkyl,and acid addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof,are outstandingly active as microbicides.

Abstract: New agrochemical formulations for application to the water of paddy fields, which formulations compriseA) at least one solid core material having an apparent specific density of less than 1 and a particle diameter within the range from about 300 .mu.m to about 1,400 .mu.m, andB) a coating layer comprisingat least one biologically active compound,at least one substance having the ability to reduce the interfacial tension between water and air,at least one oily substance and,if appropriate, one or more additives,and the use of such agrochemical formulations for applying biologically active compounds to the water of paddy fields.

Abstract: 1-Azinyl-tetraozolinones of the following formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently represent alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl, alkynyl or optionally substituted phenyl, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, may form a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may optionally contain a further heteroatom, and said heterocyclic ring may optionally be benzo-condensed and/or be substituted by one or more of C.sub.1-4 alkyl(s), andR.sup.3 is a 6-membered heterocyclic aromatic group consisting of carbon atoms and 2 or 3 nitrogen atoms, which may optionally be substituted by halogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, C.sub.1-4 alkylthio, di(C.sub.1-4 alkyl)amino or phenyl.The compounds of the formula (I) exhibit an excellent herbicidal activity and the compounds of the formula (II) are useful as starting materials in the production of the compounds of the formula (I).

Abstract: 1,4-Disubstituted-5(4H)-tetrazolinones of the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 have the meanings given in the specification), which are known to be useful as herbicides, can be obtained in very good yields by reacting the corresponding 1-substituted-5(4H)-tetrazolinones with the corresponding carbamoyl chlorides in the presence of 4-dimethylaminopyridine.

Abstract: Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## in which n is 0 or 1;L is halogen, phenylthio or alkoxycarbonyl; andZ is a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring containing 1 to 3 hetero atoms selected from O, S and/or N;and the other variables are as defined herein, are useful as insecticides.
