  • Patent number: 10464287
Abstract: A porous plate-shaped filler of the present invention is a plate shape having an aspect ratio of 3 or more, a surface shape is one of a round shape, an oval and a round-corner polygonal shape, and its minimum length is from 0.1 to 50 ?m. Furthermore, a sectional shape is one of an arch shape, an elliptic shape, and a quadrangular shape in which at least a part of corners is rounded. Consequently, it is possible to obtain the heat insulation film in which the porous plate-shaped fillers 1 are easy to be laminated and the heat insulation effect improves.

  • Patent number: 7572497
Abstract: There is disclosed a honeycomb structure which solves a problem of antinomy that it is difficult to satisfy both of a high temperature rise performance and a high thermal capacity at the same time and which is disposed at a previous stage of a filter for trapping particulate matters (PM) discharged from a diesel engine so that regeneration of the PM trapped by the filter can smoothly be completed and an exhaust gas can efficiently be purified. In a honeycomb structure in which a plurality of cells arranged in parallel with one another to communicate between two end surfaces of the honeycomb structure are formed by a plurality of partition walls, the plurality of partition walls are made of a ceramic, each cell is formed into a substantially square shape, an intersection between the partition walls is formed into an R-shape or a C-shape, a value (L/T) of a ratio of a diagonal distance L between the intersections to an average thickness T of the partition walls is set to 1.

  • Publication number: 20090050938
Abstract: A normally-off operation type HEMT device excellent in characteristics can be realized. A two-dimensional electron gas region is formed in a periphery of a hetero-junction interface of a base layer and a barrier layer, so that access resistance in an access portion, that is, between a drain and a gate and between a gate and a source is sufficiently lowered, and at the same time, a P-type region is formed immediately under the gate. This realizes a normally-off type HEMT device having a low on-resistance. Further, when a film thickness of an insulating layer is defined as t (nm) and a relative permittivity of a substance forming the insulating layer is defined as k, a threshold voltage as high as +3 V or more can be attained by satisfying k/t?0.85 (nm?1).

  • Publication number: 20080117713
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a sintered body is provided. A molding powder, a gel-forming material powder and a solvent are mixed at a temperature not higher than a dissolving point of the gel-forming material. A treatment of pulverizing agglomerates containing the molding powder, gel-forming material powder and solvent absorbed in the gel-forming material powder is carried out. The mixture is then heated to a temperature not lower than the dissolving point thereby forming a sol. The sol is then cooled to a temperature not higher than the gel point, thereby forming a molding material. The molding material is used for producing a sintering body.

  • Publication number: 20020089286
Abstract: A ceramic envelope for high intensity discharge lamp comprises: a cylindrical barrel section 1 that forms an electric discharge light emitting space; annular closing sections 2, 2 that close both ends of the barrel section 1, respectively; and capillary sections 3, 3 that insert and fix an electric discharge electrode to be outwardly protruded so as to be opposed to each other from the substantial center of both of the closing sections. The envelope essentially consists of alumina, and is formed to have light transmission properties by adding MgO. Then, the thickness of the barrel section at the boundary between the barrel section 1 and the closing section 2 is formed to be increased in thickness by providing a tapered section 4a to the thickness in the vicinity of the center of an electric discharge light emitting space.

  • Patent number: 5009038
Abstract: An automatic chamfering machine for ceramic honeycomb structural bodies and the like workpieces is disclosed, and includes a clamping device by which a workpiece is clamped and caused to rotate in one direction. The movement of a grinder wheel with respect to the workpiece is controlled by a tracer element urged against the other peripheral surface of the workpiece itself, so as to carry out an autoprofiling chamfering operation. The grinder wheel thus removes a constant amount of material from the workpiece even when the workpiece has an irregular outer contour, or is clamped inaccurately.
