  • Patent number: 9787850
Abstract: A method permitting the control of the service quality and/or service fees of telecommunication services in which several service nodes are involved. During the initiation and/or implementation of a communication service, an exchange of signaling data occurs between a communications terminal and at least two service nodes which are involved in the communication service. The control node detects whether the service data transmitted by the at least two service nodes relate to the very same communication service. Then the control node selects service data from the transmitted service data and uses these service data for controlling the service quality and/or service fees.

  • Patent number: 9411952
Abstract: A client is intended to be authenticated with a server. The present disclosure relates to a method that includes using an algorithm for the client and server, but independently of one another, to produce a first key. A second key is produced by the client such that its distance from the first key is within a predetermined distance. The second key is sent to the server. The server successfully authenticates the client if the distance between the received second key and the first key is within the predetermined delta. The second key is used as a new start key for further authentication of the client with the server.

  • Patent number: 9060060
Abstract: The invention relates to an interactive voice response (IVR) system supplying functions and resources to services encompassing interactive voice response or output of announcements and three methods for dealing with resource bottlenecks of the IVR system. The IVR system supplies a pool of resources to several switching systems. Virtual, individually assigned IVR systems are created from the perspective of the switching systems by allocating the control interfaces and user data interfaces of the IVR system in an exclusive, disjunctive manner to the switching systems. Resource bottlenecks can be prevented when several switching systems access the IVR system by rejecting jobs for which the required resources cannot be reserved or by aborting jobs creating too substantial delays during processing due to the wait for resources. The invention has the advantage of efficiently utilizing the resources supplied by the IVR system.

  • Patent number: 8995917
Abstract: A method detects a first baseband signal sent by a first sending station via an air interface to a first radio station of a radio communications system. A first receive signal, which contains the first baseband signal superposed with at least a second baseband signal sent by a second sending station to a second radio station, is received by the first radio station. The first radio station uses at least a second receive signal received by the second radio station for detection of the first baseband signal. The second receive signal contains at least the second baseband signal, and is used to at least partially cancel the interference in the first receive signal caused by the second baseband signal.

  • Patent number: 8948347
Abstract: According to the invention, a user connection cable (TAL) that is to be associated with a user connection circuit (SLIC) and is used for connecting at least one user (TN) to at least one communication network is verified regarding switching on of a positive distribution voltage in the strands (a, b). The user connection circuit (SLIC) is initially switched to the silent interval mode and a test impedance (I) is switched between the strands (a, b) of the user connection cable (TAL), whereupon the current (i) flowing across the strands (a, b) and the voltage (u) to ground of a strand (b) are measured. Advantageously, the measurements are taken via measuring devices disposed on the user connection subassembly (SLMA).

  • Patent number: 8904454
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a PVR server for storing and playing back TV programs, in particular to an improved method for operating a network PVR and to an improved PVR server (102). The inventive method consists in determining the number of users storing in the personal archives thereof a determined TV program, which is stored in the memory (108) of the PVR server (102). When the user number is less than a predefined limit value, an erasing signal occurs to them and the program is cleared during a configurable period of time if no user selects said program as to be preserved.

  • Patent number: 8897696
Abstract: A method uses a relay station to assist processing of requests from user ends. The relay station acquires and monitors channel resource information received from a base station. Upon receiving a request from the UEs via the channel resource, the relay station sends the request received to the base station if it detects no response from the base station to the request. An apparatus uses a relay station to assist processing of requests from UEs. A channel resource acquisition unit acquires channel resource information from the base station. A user monitoring unit monitors the channel resource acquired by the channel resource acquisition unit and for receiving requests sent from the UEs. A base station monitoring unit monitors response from the base station to the requests upon receiving the requests sent from the UEs. A transmitting unit sends the request to the base station when no response from the base station to the request is detected.

  • Patent number: 8855697
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing a push-to-talk-(Ptt) communication link between two Ptt devices (1,2), in which the data of different types, such as voice data (Sp), audio data (A), video data (V) etc., is transmitted between the Ptt devices (1,2). The first Ptt device (1) transmits a Ptt link request, and subsequently a communication link is established for at least one selection of said different types of data via a communication channel (F1, NF) according to a communication protocol. According to the invention, the Ptt link request contains priority information which enables the data types to be allocated a transmission priority, and the communication protocol only authorizes the communication channel (F1, NF) to be established if the second Ptt-device (2) is available for the data type or for the data types having the highest transmission priority.

  • Patent number: 8811297
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of centralized scheduling of the access to a common radio channel in multi-hop wireless networks. The requests by the relay nodes (RN(1,1) . . . RN(n,Nn), RNi) of resources for sending uplink flows towards the base station (BS), and/or downlink flows towards relay nodes (RN(1,1) . . .
