Abstract: A tamper-evident closure is provided and includes a base and a lid. The lid is movable between a closed and an open position with respect to the base. The closure includes a tamper-evident member which is initially provided on or by the base with the closure in an unopened condition. The tamper-evident member is released from the base when the lid is initially moved to the open position and is then retained by the lid.

Abstract: A dispensing closure (10) comprising an actuator disc (20) and a base (15) is provided. The disc is pivotally mounted on the base and is pivotable between a closed position which prevents fluid product dispensing and an open position which allows product fluid dispensing. The closure comprises a transport lock (24) for preventing the disc moving from the closed to the open position.

Abstract: A child-resistant closure (10) is provided and comprises a lid (20) and a base (15). The closure comprises child-resistant locking means for preventing unwanted opening of the lid. The locking means comprising two locking members (23A, 23B) carried on or by a respective release member, the locking members engaging the base to prevent opening of the lid. The release members are movable towards each other to disengage the locking members from the base.

Abstract: A tamper-evident container closure (10) is provided and comprises a base (15) and a lid (20). The base and lid are connected together by a hinge (25) so that the lid can be moved between a closed position and an open position. The base is attachable to a container neck. Generally opposite the hinge the lid includes a retention member (35), the retention member includes or defines a window (39) and includes a retention portion for engagement with a cooperating portion on the closure and/or on a container neck for holding the lid in a closed position. The closure includes a tamper-evident member (40) at least part of which moves into or out of view with respect to the window to indicate opening of the closure.

Abstract: A dispensing closure is provided and comprises a base and a lid. The base includes a sidewall closed at one end by a top deck including a dispensing orifice. The base and lid are joined by a hinge to allow the lid to move between closed and open positions with respect to the base whereby to close and open the dispensing orifice. At the periphery of the top deck the sidewall forms or provides a raised lip. The lid closes onto the top deck and is bounded by the lip and the lid is generally flush with the lip when in the closed position.

The base includes a dispensing passage; a syringe of the type comprising a barrel and a terminal tip is insertable into the passage. The closure further comprises a flexible self-closing valve for closing the passage. In use the syringe is inserted into the passage so that the tip passes through the valve to access product, and thereafter when the syringe is withdrawn the valve wipes against the syringe tip.

The base comprises a sidewall having a tamper-evident drop band, the band including an abutment for engaging the container neck to cause the band to break away from the sidewall if an attempt is made to remove the closure from the neck once fitted. The band further comprises an extension against which the sidewall pushes if the closure is reapplied to push the band away from the base. The extension extends only part of the way around the band.
