Abstract: The filter holder (9) is fitted on its inner wall with a plurality of equiangularly arranged radial bolts (12), preferably three, whereas the fixed support (2) is in turn fitted with respective spiral slots (13) in which the bolts (12) play, wherein when the filter holder is turned, driven manually through the handle (10), the filter holder travels axially at the same time; specifically, the filter (7), along with its respective coffee measure (8), moves towards the hot water supply extension (1) just before infusion takes place, or away in order for the coffee measure (8) to be replaced. These combined angular-axial filter holder (9) travelling elements enable the filter (7) to be perfectly coupled to the water outlet extension (1) without any unwanted side leakage.

Abstract: A water vapor relief device for domestic coffee makers includes one tube connected to a vapor generator of the coffee maker and terminating at a free end thereof with an outlet hole and another tube which surrounds the first tube and forms therewith a chamber. The first tube at the end thereof carries an expanded head for a nozzle. A conduit formed between the nozzle and the head is inclined to produce the Venturi effect so that in the liquid such as milk in which the device is submerged the bubbling is produced which generates a foam.

Abstract: A steam iron having a protection circuit which is located in a detachable back cover. The back cover can be detached from the iron to allow substitution of an inoperative protection circuit.

Abstract: A combination of a base and an electrical connector switch which can be removably disposed in the base. The switch is adapted to be removably disposed in a conforming rear recess in an electric iron so that when the switch is disposed in the base and is electrically connected to a source of electric power, the iron can be supported on the base with the switch engaging the recess to charge the iron.

Abstract: A water bypass valve for a steam iron controls the passage of water between a tank and a vaporization chamber. The valve has an inlet which is opened and closed by a temperature sensitive element that prevents water from entering into the valve until the vaporization chamber is of sufficient temperature. The outlet of the valve is opened and closed by a locking pin that is controlled by the operator and is not temperature sensitive. The temperature sensitive element is separate and distinct from the locking pin.

Abstract: A safety lock in a steam pressure coffee maker is disclosed. The safety lock comprises a piston fitted in an orifice of the coffee maker body. When the pressure in the coffee maker chamber is sufficiently high, the piston is moved causing the piston rod to enter recesses provided along the periphery of a threaded plug which closes the main aperture. With the piston rod in this position, the threaded plug cannot be turned, thereby ensuring that the main aperture remains closed until the high pressure conditions no longer prevail.
