Abstract: The present invention discloses a collapsible stand for a bench-top power tool and methods therefore. The stand includes a structural member pivotally secured to a lower peripheral region of a base of a power tool. A slidable member is slidably and pivotally connected to the lower peripheral region and is pivotally connected to the pivotal structural member. Lower distal ends of both the pivotal and slidable structural members provide feet for supporting the associated power tool in an expanded orientation thereof. As the stand is collapsed, a top end of the slidable structural member slides towards a top end of the pivotal structural member. Both structural members may be pivoted to an orientation generally parallel with the lower peripheral region and may be locked thereto by a locking mechanism. A pair of wheels are rotatably connected to the base for transporting the stand and power tool thereupon.
Abstract: A motorized woodworking tool is provided having a base with a metal top having a generally planar workpiece support surface. A low resistance surface layer is applied directly to the workpiece support surface to provide a low friction, highly durable surface for cooperating with a workpiece placed thereon for sliding contact with the surface layer during the cutting operation.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an improved miter gauge for retaining and adjustably positioning a workpiece. The miter gauge includes a fence frame pivotally mounted to a base member for adjusting the workpiece to be cut at a user selected angle. The fence frame includes a fence surface for positioning the workpiece. The fence surface is opposed by a quick-adjusting stopping unit mountable to the base member for clamping the workpiece therebetween.
Abstract: An orbital sander is provided having a number of novel features including a high speed permanent magnet DC motor having a relatively flat rpm versus torque curve. The sander includes an AC to DC power supply, a remotely located on/off switch operated by a switch actuator bar extending transversely through the housing enabling the operator to actuate the on/off switch by alternatively pushing opposed ends of the actuator bar. The orbital sander further includes a fan having non-uniformly spaced blades, eliminating the need for a conventional counterweight, and a dust outlet adapted to be alternatively connected to a dust canister or alternate size collector vacuum hoses.

Abstract: An improved riving knife/guard assembly for a table saw allows the guard to be removed and attached without the use of any tools, provides a clear view of the work zone, blade and workpiece, and is easily adjustable to accommodate different size workpieces and cutting angle.
Abstract: A battery ejection mechanism for ejecting a battery housing removably attached to an electrical device housing. The mechanism includes at least one ejection member having a button and an arm. The arm is adapted to transfer a force applied on the button to the electrical device housing to assist in the removal of the battery pack from the electrical device housing.

Abstract: A grip assembly for one of a clutch cap for a clutch mechanism, a rear sleeve or front sleeve for a chuck assembly having a chuck mechanism with a plurality of adjustable jaws. The grip assembly includes an inner sleeve having open top and an open bottom opposite the top and defining a longitudinal axis with a peripheral wall disposed between the first end and the second end and an elastomeric grip comprising a plurality of spaced apart ribs extending generally circumferentially about an outer surface of the front sleeve. An optional a cover can encircle the inner sleeve and have a plurality of spaced apart apertures to receive respective ribs.
