Abstract: An electrical pipe fitting with an integral fixture for securing a grounding wire. The pipe fitting includes a hollow metal tubular member for receiving electrical wire, the hollow tubular member being specifically designed to be coupled as an intermediate section of a grounded electrical pipe. A raised portion is formed integrally with and extends from the hollow tubular member. The raised portion has an aperture into which a grounding wire is received and secured by a screw to establish a ground path between the grounding wire and the electrical pipe. Additionally, a clamp is disposed adjacent the aperture for securing an insulated portion of the ground wire against hollow tubular member. The electrical pipe fitting can either be a straight section or, alternatively, can include an angled corner, so that the ends of the fitting are perpendicular to each other. A removable cover is preferably provided in the embodiment of the invention with the angled corner to facilitate access to the electrical wire.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adapter for converting a single electrical outlet into a multiple electrical outlet. The adapter includes a housing having a front and a back, and two opposed sides extending between the front and back. At least one socket is located on each of the sides. Each socket includes a live prong receiving aperture and a neutral prong receiving aperture. An electrically conductive live bus is disposed in the housing and includes a first live prong capable of being inserted into a live aperture in an electrical outlet. The live bus comprises a pair of electrically conductive first live bus strips, each of which extends along one of the two opposed sides of the adapter and adjacent the live prong receiving aperture of the socket, to electrically conductively engage a second live prong inserted into the live prong receiving aperture.
Abstract: A power strip with adjustable cord includes an electrical cord for carrying electrical power having a first end including a plug for insertion into an electrical outlet and a second end including a power strip body having a first side including elevated end portions and a depressed central portion, a second side, and a perimetral edge member joining the first and second sides. The central depressed portion of the first side includes a plurality of electrical outlets for distributing electrical power therefrom divided into at least one unswitched outlet and at least one switched outlet, and a switch for switching power off and on to the at least one switched outlet.
Abstract: This invention relates generally to the electrical plug receptacle units and particularly to multiple electrical receptacle units adapted to be attached to a wall-mounted receptacle.
