Abstract: A connector set includes at least one of a header and a socket and a jointer. The jointer extends in a direction and is configured to couple the header and the socket so as to be in parallel with each other. The jointer includes first jointer connecting portions provided at both end portions thereof and extending in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and which are configured to engage first connecting portions provided at both end portions of the header, and second jointer connecting portions provided at both end portions of the jointer body and extending in a third direction opposite to the second direction, and which are configured to engage the second connecting portions provided at both end portions of the socket.
Abstract: A network system is provided, in which a system change can be easily performed by adding or exchanging an equipment(s) to be controlled or monitored. The equipment has an object with an object identifier defined according to a service content provided by the equipment. Upon the receipt of a service request using the object identifier from a network device connected to the equipment via a network, the equipment executes the service defined in the object according to this service request. By assigning a same object identifier to objects of a plurality of equipments, it is possible to provide the same service from those equipments according to the service request performed from the network device by use of the same object identifier.
Abstract: A service provider for embedded devices is disclosed for controlling, monitoring and/or updating embedded devices. The service provider includes a computer having communications hardware for communicating over a computer network. The computer also includes a storage device and a processor. The computer network communication module is also configured to communicate via the computer network with a message store and transmit component, wherein the message store and transmit component is capable of communicating with one or more embedded devices through the computer network. A database of service information obtained from the computer network is also added to the service provider. This database of service information is available to the embedded devices through the message store and transmit component.
Abstract: A discharge lamp lighting device includes: a DC power source; an inverter for inverting the DC power at a predetermined inversion time interval to supply a square wave AC power to a discharge lamp; and a controller for controlling the output power. The controller performs a synchronous operation and controls the DC power source such that DC power outputted during a period other than the output temporarily increasing period in a power increasing period is greater than the DC output power outputted during the period other than the output temporarily increasing period in a rated power period. Further, the controller controls the DC power source such that at least one of an increment of the output power for the output temporarily increasing period and a length of the output temporarily increasing period is less in at least a part of the output increasing period than in the rated power period.
Abstract: A hair growth modulation device is configured to impart a suitable quantity of irradiated light to a target site while lowering the irradiation intensity required by a light irradiator that generates modulating light for modulating hair growth. This device is provided with a hair follicle approximating means that causes hair follicles of body hairs at the target site to approach the skin surface, thereby enhancing the irradiation efficiency of modulating light irradiated to the hair follicles.

Abstract: An LED lamp system which suppresses flickering of an LED element is provided. The LED lamp system includes straight-tube type LED lamps each having LED elements and a dedicated power source for lighting the LED elements. The dedicated power source full-wave rectifies and smoothes a commercial AC power source, outputs constant current having a ripple factor of 1.3 or smaller and thus lights the LED elements.

Abstract: An effective component generator (56) that releases effective components in a storing compartment (3) includes an effective component generator, which generates the effective components when discharging occurs, and an effective component generation passage (54) in which the effective component generator is arranged. The effective component generator includes an electrode unit (58) and an insulative spacer (57) arranged in contact with or near the electrode unit. High voltage is applied to the electrode unit so that discharging occurs in a fine discharge area (S) formed along the insulative spacer. Abstract: An electronic ballast includes a microprocessor which is programmed to read a voltage value corresponding to an output of the electronic ballast, output a signal which controls an amount of power outputted by the electronic ballast in accordance with the voltage value, read an external voltage value, and select one of a trimming mode and a normal mode as an operating mode based on the external voltage value. The microprocessor is also programmed, when operating in the trimming mode, to set an internal reference value, compare the voltage value corresponding to the output of the electronic ballast with the internal reference value, trim an amount of power outputted by the electronic ballast to a resistor corresponding to an impedance of a High Intensity Discharge lamp by adjusting the signal based upon the comparison, and store a result of the signal adjustment.
Abstract: A chair type massager includes a seat part on which a person to be treated sits on, a backrest part with a reclining mechanism to perform a raising/tilting operation, and right and left armrest parts in which the arms are inserted. The massager further includes air bags provided at the armrest parts, the air bags holding the arms placed in the armrest part by being swelled by air supplied from an air supply pump; a control part for controlling the raising/tilting operation of the backrest part and the air supply to the air bags; and a manipulation part for giving instructions to the control part. When controlling the reclining mechanism to tilt the backrest part in response to the instructions from the manipulation part to perform the arm stretch, the control part controls the air supply pump to supply air into the air bags intermittently.
Abstract: An exercise assisting device comprises foot supports having foot support surfaces respectively, a seat, a seat height adjusting unit, and a seat driving unit. The foot support is provided for bearing foot of a user. The seat is shaped to have a contact surface for supporting buttocks of the user when the user places the feet onto the foot support surfaces. The seat height adjusting unit is configured to move the seat toward a vertical direction and also toward a front-back direction in order to position the seat at a standard position which is located at a standard height from the foot support surface in the vertical direction. Consequently, a knee of the user has a predetermined angle. The seat driving unit is configured to swing the seat about the standard position so as to vary weight of the user which acts on legs of the user. The exercise assisting device further comprises a load regulating means.

Abstract: A wafer level package structure, in which a plurality of compact sensor devices with small variations in sensor characteristics are formed, and a method of producing the same are provided. This package structure has a semiconductor wafer having plural sensor units, and a package wafer bonded to the semiconductor wafer. The semiconductor wafer has a first metal layer formed with respect to each of the sensor units. The package wafer has a bonding metal layer at a position facing the first metal layer. Since a bonding portion between the semiconductor wafer and the package wafer is formed at room temperature by a direct bonding between activated surfaces of the first metal layer and the bonding metal layer, it is possible to prevent that variations in sensor characteristics occur due to residual stress at the bonding portion.
