Abstract: Disclosed is an adduct of the formula 4Na.sub.2 SO.sub.4.2H.sub.2 O.sub.2.KCl and a process for the preparation of this adduct by crystallizing the adduct out of a suspension containing from about 100 to 900 g of hydrogen peroxide per liter of solution and a quantity of sodium sulphate and potassium chloride which exceeds the saturation concentration of the adduct at the crystallization temperature, whereby the weight ratio of sodium sulphate to potassium chloride is in the range of from about 2:1 to 12:1. A continuous process is also disclosed for producing the adduct.

Abstract: The process of continuously producing an alkali metal superoxide comprises the reaction of an aerosol of hydrogen peroxide and an alkali metal hydroxide in an inert gas. The reacting aerosol is of the solid/gaseous type or of the liquid/gaseous type. The reaction is preferably carried out in an apparatus comprising a reaction chamber, inlet ducts for the reactants and a dry gas, and an outlet duct conducting the reacted aerosol to means for separating the resulting solid alkali metal superoxide from the gaseous phase.
Abstract: The present invention provides an accelerator for hardening unsaturated resins, comprising a mixture of at least one ketimine and at least one inorganic or organic cupric or ferric compound. The present invention also provides a process for hardening unsaturated resins, wherein an accelerator is used comprising at least one ketimine and at least one inorganic or organic cupric or ferric compound, together with a conventional hardener.

Abstract: A process for improving the storage behavior of alkali persalts in particularly alkali percarbonates, by preparing a granulate composition therefore is disclosed. The process comprises the steps of:(a) granulating an alkali persalt, wherein the alkali cation is an alkali metal cation or ammonium and which is selected from the group consisting of solid addition-products of an alkali salt with hydrogen peroxide and alkali salts of peroxo-acids in the presence of a sodium phosphate which is selected of sodium polyphosphates and sodium phyrophosphate and of water, and(b) drying the resulting granulate.

Abstract: Stabilized crystalline sodium percarbonate is prepared by reacting a soda solution or suspension, which has a pH value of between 10 and 11 and contains an amount of a soluble silicate, e.g., sodium waterglass, which is equivalent to from about 0.2 to about 0.9% of SiO.sub.2 relative to the sodium percarbonate, with a hydrogen peroxide solution which contains a heavy metal complexing agent, allowing to crystallize at least 50% of the sodium percarbonate and then adding to the resulting suspension a second amount of a water soluble silicate which is equivalent to from about 0.2 to about 0.8% of SiO.sub.2 relative to the sodium percarbonate and is sufficient to provide a silicate content in the final product equivalent to 0.5 to 1.5% of SiO.sub.2.

Abstract: The esters of pinane hydroperoxide with carboxylic acids are effective free radical initiators for the polymerizaton of olefinically unsaturated monomers, and are superior to the corresponding esters of tert-butyl peroxide by their shorter half-life at equal temperature.
