Abstract: Weft gripper drive for looms of the type consisting of a flexible perforated tape at one end of which a gripper is fixed and of an oscillating gear-wheel that enmeshes with the tape along part of its circumference, whereby guiding devices are provided where the tape leaves the wheel, characterized thereby that the tooth height of the wheel is smaller than the thickness of the tape and that the form and dimensions of the teeth and of the perforations barely allow a mutual enmeshment, whereby the side of the tape directed towards the wheel, in the enmeshment zone, is tangent to the root circle of the gearing of the wheel.
Abstract: Device for electronically controlling pneumatic thread tensioners or other related components of looms of the kind comprising a cam, the motion of which is synchronized in relation to the rotation of the crankshaft of the loom and which produces a signal by means of an electronic detector, characterized in that it also comprises a generator of electric impulses which is excited by the aforesaid signal for emitting a train of impulses with an adjustable frequency by means of which per operational cycle, is being effected the control of the concerned components of the machine.
Abstract: Weft inserting device for pneumatic weaving looms, of the type comprising a yarn pulling off mechanism, an air jet nozzle next to an edge of the warp, and a clamp which is located between these two last named components, this clamp being cyclically controlled to clamp the yarn at the end of the insertion of the next weft yarn, characterized in that the mutual geometric positions of the yarn pulling off mechanism and of the clamp are selected in relation to the position of the jet nozzle so that the yarn completely leaves the clamp whilst the latter is open.
Abstract: Device for selecting the color of weft threads in looms, characterized in that the mechanism controlling the weaving programme transmits a mechanical order to a so called color selector which converts the said order in a first electric signal which is sent to a synchronization device and is momentarily stored therein, whereas a second signal is produced by a switching disc and a contactless switch as a function of the rotation of the drive shaft of the loom, whereby the said first signal is sent by the said synchronization device to a so called color giver as soon as the said second signal has reached the said synchronization device.
Abstract: The invention pertains to a process for watching the weft thread of weaving looms, characterized by the fact that it consists in preparing a stop signal for the weaving loom, each time the weft carrier has completely left the shed; in checking for the presence of the weft thread behind the weft carrying means, just outside the shed, and in cancelling aforesaid stop signal if thread is present, respectively in making use of the stop signal if thread is absent.
Abstract: The invention pertains to a driving device for rapiers on rapier looms of the type equipped with two rapiers, each carrying a gripper, whereby the rapiers are driven by the motor of the loom, which is provided with an adjustable reduction gear unit, via, for each rapier, a multiplier driving device comprising a series of successive points of rotation, whereby means are provided for the adjustment of the relative distance between two successive points of rotation of at least one multiplier driving device, characterized by the fact that aforesaid adjusting means are fitted with control means with which they can be continuously adjusted between two limit values selected in advance.
Abstract: The invention pertains to an improved slay for weaving looms, consisting of the slay itself and of two slay swords, characterized by the fact that at least the slay swords are built as hollow structures, whereby the head of each slay sword is attached to the corresponding end of the slay and along the extension of same, and whereby the width of the slay swords is greater than that of the slay itself.
Abstract: The present invention concerns a mechanical multiplier for weaving looms, for instance for the drive of rapiers or lances, of the head frames or such like.
