    Abstract: A microphone device generates a transmit audio stream via at least one microphone on the microphone device. The microphone device transmits the transmit audio stream to the computing device via a first wireless connection and ignores a receive audio stream received from the computing device via the first wireless connection. The speaker device obtains a set of connection parameters for the first wireless connection between the microphone device and the computing device, intercepts the receive audio stream transmitted using the first wireless connection from the computing device to the microphone device, and plays the receive audio stream on a speaker of the speaker device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing an environment (e.g., a call center) including both voice users and streaming audio users (e.g., streaming music) using a common wireless protocol, e.g., Bluetooth. A central controller in communication with the base stations may receive wireless link data associated with the wireless audio links, determine a current count of voice users versus streaming audio users, generate channel assignment data specifying a first frequency channels designated for voice users and second frequency channels designated for streaming audio users, and communicate such channel assignment data to the base stations. The processor is configured to determine of low-frequency energy at the speaker system, the low-frequency energy below a threshold frequency. The ANC circuit is configured to, based on the determination of low-frequency energy at the speaker system, perform a corrective action on application of ANC to the audio signals from outside the speaker system.

    Abstract: Multiple cameras in a conference room, each pointed in a different direction and including a microphone array to perform sound source localization (SSL). The SSL is used in combination with the video image to identify the speaker from among multiple individuals that appear in the video image. Neural network or machine learning processing is performed on the identified speaker to determine the quality of the front or facial view of the speaker. The best view of the speaker's face from the various cameras is selected to be provided to the far end. If no view is satisfactory, a default view is selected and that is provided to the far end. The use of the SSL allows selection of the proper individual from a group of individuals in the conference room, so that only the speaker's head is analyzed for the best facial view and then framed for transmission.
