Abstract: A light stick, primarily useful in the locomotive industry for signally between train personnel, includes a longitudinally extending housing which contains a first light source and a second light source. The first light source provides for general purpose illumination of the light stick. The second light source provides illumination primarily for purposes of signaling. The light stick may include a lens cap which is positioned at a forward end of the housing, and from which the illumination from the second light source may extend. Preferably, the light that is emitted from the lens cap has a blue color for purposes of railroad signaling.

Abstract: A reverser handle comprising a key component integrally associated with a light component. In an exemplary embodiment, the light component comprises a cap which houses a light source, such as, e.g., a plurality of light emitting diodes, a light bulb, or a photoluminescent material which allows the cap to glow in the dark. The key component comprises a body having extending therefrom a flange which is configured to actuate a control stand. The light component preferably comprises a blue light emitting light source to comply with a blue flag safety procedure.

Abstract: A removable, reuseable holding jig for a locking plate associated with the end cap of a railroad truck bearing in which the locking plate provides a plurality of cap screw head apertures through which the end cap holding screws project when threaded into the axle end cap of the railroad bearing. The holding jig is of the same configuration of such locking plate but of a larger size so as to overlap the edges of such plate and to be confined in the well provided by the axle roller bearings. The holding jig will position, and by a series of lugs engage the sides of the locking plate so as to prevent rotational movement thereof resulting from the rotational torque of the cap screws as they are threaded into the axle bearing.
