Patent number: 4624179Abstract: An automatic control device for tying large diameter cylindrical bales produced by a hay baler. A tie guiding arm has an end which can be driven back and forth over the entire width of the bale by an electric motor. A microprocessor receives inputs indicating the driving speed of the baler, the diameter of the bale and the desired number of turns of the tie. The motor driving the guiding arm is discontinuously driven by the microprocessor so that the arm is held in a stationary position for a predetermined length of time at a predetermined number of stops. The microprocessor may also operate in a learning mode where the operator sets the number of stops and the length of time.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1984Date of Patent: November 25, 1986Assignee: Regie Nationale des Usines RenaultInventors: Drutel Yves, Joyez Gerard

Patent number: 4597598Abstract: A device for electrical opening and closing of a motor lid, such as a trunk lid, equipped with a lock of the cocking type includes a case in which a latch and a locking lever are mounted to pivot. The locking of the lock is done mechanically during the closing of the lid and is extended by a complete electrical closing of the lid as a result of a gearmotor which assures the axial sliding of the case inside a sleeve. The partial electrical opening is obtained by rotation in a reverse direction of the gearmotor, which causes the axial exiting of the case outside of the sleeve together with the automatic unlocking of the cocking lock.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1984Date of Patent: July 1, 1986Assignee: Regie Nationale des Usines RenaultInventor: Jacques Bascou

Patent number: 4576544Abstract: A swivelling handle includes three reduction gear assemblies, each assuring the control of movement about the three axes of rotation. Each reduction gear assembly has a first reduction stage and a second reduction stage with coaxial drive. This arrangement makes possible great compactness. The third motor can be placed transversally, essentially in the axis of the second reduction unit. Thus a swivelling handle is obtained with three axes of rotation, with full electrical controls, in which the movements of rotation are created by three independent electric motors corresponding to each of the three axes of rotation. The unit is especially compact and adaptable to any type of industrial robot.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1985Date of Patent: March 18, 1986Assignee: Regie Nationale des Usines RenaultInventors: Jean-Robert Passemard, Gaston Keledjian
