Abstract: A chuck, especially for a device for machining pipes and the like as for instance for threading, deburring, cutting and similar operations, with chucking jaws pivotable about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of the chuck for chucking the workpiece to be machined. The chuck is mounted on a rotatable support, and the chucking jaws are positively connected to the driving motor so that the chucking jaws automatically move into their chucking position in response to the start of the motor.

Abstract: A transportable external thread cutting machine having cutting blades which are mounted in a cutting head and can be brought into engagement with a workpiece which is to be machined by means of a control device which comprises an interacting slide and scanner. The slide and scanner form one single integral piece. When the cutting head is turned, the slide engages a control surface.

Abstract: A thread cutting die stock with a die stock head structure which has a first inner guiding surface for detachably receiving the shank of a first cutting head while radially inwardly of the aforementioned first guiding surface there is detachably arranged an adaptor having a second inner guiding surface for detachably receiving therein the shank of a second cutting head of smaller cutting size than that of the first cutting head, thereby making it possible by merely inserting or removing the adaptor to modify the die stock from receiving a larger sized thread cutting head to a smaller sized thread cutting head and vice versa.

Abstract: A separating device for bar and pipe-shaped workpieces, especially a cut-off machine, with a chucking device for chucking the cut-off workpieces and with a separating unit such as a cutting head for cutting off bar and pipe sections. The separating device includes at least one machining unit for machining the ends of the cut off workpieces and at least one feeding device for feeding a cut-off bar or pipe section cut off by the separating unit, to the end machining unit.
