Abstract: A method for filtering documents includes receiving the document off of a multicast channel. It is determined whether the document includes relevant information. The document is processed if it includes relevant information. A filtering agent includes a session identification reading unit that retrieves a session identification from a document transmitted over a multicast channel. The filtering agent also includes an information classification unit that retrieves meta data from the document. The filtering agent also includes a source unit that retrieves source information from the document. An evaluation unit is coupled to the session identification reading unit, information classification unit, and the source unit. The evaluation unit determines whether the document includes relevant information based on the session identification, meta data, and the source information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for level-based network access restriction are described. A user of network resources logs on to the network according to any appropriate security procedure. The user is provided access to a known, trusted resource as a starting point. From the starting point, the user can access other network resources by following links from the starting point or in another manner. The network resources accessed by the user are analyzed to determined whether the resource is a trusted resource. If the resource is a trusted resource, the user is allowed to follow a predetermined number of links away from the trusted resource before access is denied.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing a multiple-browser architecture is described. In one embodiment, the apparatus launches an application program in response to a trigger event. In addition, the apparatus maintains a history list corresponding to the launched application and allocates an application entity within an existing application window on the computer system. Further, the apparatus displays content data corresponding to the application program within the application window.
