  • Patent number: 11736517
Abstract: A distributed data storage system can consist an attack module connected to distributed data storage system that has at least one host connected to a first data storage device and a second data storage device via a network controller. A susceptibility to a third-party attack in the distributed data storage system may be identified with the attack module, which prompts the generation of an attack counter strategy with the attack module. The attack counter strategy can have at least one proactive action directed at preventing a future third-party attack on the detected susceptibility that is executed prior to a third-party attack to temporarily randomize execution timing of a data access operation of the distributed data storage system.

  • Patent number: 11724233
Abstract: A first wafer has a first stop layer deposited on a substrate, the substrate used to form a base support structure. A second wafer has a second stop layer deposited on a sacrificial substrate, and a filter layer deposited on the second stop layer. A rib layer is deposited on one of: the first stop layer of the first layer; or a third stop layer that is deposited over the filter layer. A rib pattern is formed in the rib layer. The first and second wafers are flip bonded such that the rib pattern is joined between the filter layer and the first stop layer. Elongated voids are formed within the filter layer. The base support structure is formed within the substrate of the first wafer such that there is a fluid flow path between the base support structure, the rib layer, and the elongated voids of the filter layer.

  • Patent number: 11726921
Abstract: Apparatus and method for managing metadata in a data storage device such as a solid-state drive (SSD). The metadata are stored in combined (combo) pages in a non-volatile memory (NVM) each having first and second level map entries. The second level map entries provide a logical-to-physical address translation layer for user data blocks stored to the NVM, and the first level map entries describe the second level map entries in the combo page. A global map structure is accessed to identify a selected combo page in the NVM associated with a pending access command. The first and second level map entries are retrieved from the combo page, and the second level map entries are used to identify a target location for the transfer of user data blocks to or from the NVM.

  • Patent number: 11722558
Abstract: Apparatus and method for performing real-time monitoring of server-side resources required to satisfy a client-side request in a distributed data storage environment, such as in a cloud computing or HPC (high performance computing) network. A client device is configured to issue a service request to carry out a service application associated with one or more server nodes. A request scheduler forwards the service request from the client device to a selected server node associated with the service request. A service log accumulates entries associated with data transfer operations carried out by the server node responsive to the service request over each of a succession of time periods. A service monitor accumulates, for each of the succession of time periods, information associated with the data transfer operations. A monitor tool aggregates the cumulative information to provide an indication of server-side resources utilized to satisfy the service request.
