Publication number: 20070166059Abstract: The toner consumption amount in the image forming apparatus is calculated accurately. The printing dot subject to process (mark of a circle with hatching) is divided into classes depending upon the number of adjacent dot (mark of a white circle) present around the dot subject to process, and the number of dots is counted for each of the classes. The toner adhesion amount of the printing dot is different depending upon the number of the adjacent dots, hence weight coefficients K0 through K8 corresponding to the difference are set in advance. The count for each of the classes is multiplied by the coefficient corresponding to each of the classes and accumulated, whereby the toner consumption amount is calculated accurately in a state that dots are arranged in two dimension.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2005Publication date: July 19, 2007Applicant: SEIKO CORPORATIONInventors: Hidenori Kin, Toshiki Shiroki, Isao Inaba

Publication number: 20060124231Abstract: In a sheet lamination three-dimensional modeling method and apparatus, a three-dimensional object is formed in a stacked body by the repetitive operations of stacking and gluing a material sheet on an intermediate stacked body and cutting the material sheet in a cutting plane along the contour of each section shape at the cutting plane of the three-dimensional object. A remainder portion of each material sheet which portion does not constitute any section shape of the three-dimensional object is cut along plural intersecting division lines whose positions are shifted in turn in dependence on the position of each material sheet in a direction of stacking the material sheet so that an unnecessary portion of the stacked body except the three-dimensional object can be divided into plural pieces also in the direction of stacking the material sheet thereby to become small solid blocks and can be removed easily and speedily from the formed three-dimensional object.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2005Publication date: June 15, 2006Applicant: SUGIMURA SEIKO CORPORATIONInventors: Toru Nonoyama, Moriaki Sakakura

Patent number: 6164767Abstract: A tube pump for an ink jet printer includes a driving wheel that is selectively driven in a forward or reverse direction in accordance with the rotation of a drive source. The driving wheel contains two slots that extend symmetrically and radially from the center of the driving wheel. The pump also includes two rollers that are coupled to the drive wheel via roller shafts respectively extending from a radial center of the rollers into the slots. A pressing piece is also provided that forces the shafts into the radially outermost end of the slots to press a tube of the tube pump when said drive wheel rotates in reverse and forces the shafts into the radially innermost end of the slots to not press the tube when said drive wheel rotates in the forward direction. In an alternative arrangement, the tube pump contains a pump chamber, and a tube having an .alpha.-like-shaped loop portion is inserted into and disposed along the inner wall of the pump chamber.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 1999Date of Patent: December 26, 2000Assignee: Seiko CorporationInventors: Masahiro Nakamura, Hayato Nishikaze, Nobuhito Takahashi, Seiji Mochizuki, Kazuhisa Kawakami, Keiichi Ohshima, Satoshi Fujioka

Patent number: 5974526Abstract: A register renaming system for out-of-order execution of a set of reduced instruction set computer instructions having addressable source and destination register fields, adapted for use in a computer having an instruction execution unit with a register file accessed by read address ports and for storing instruction operands. A data dependance check circuit is included for determining data dependencies between the instructions. A tag assignment circuit generates one of more tags to specify the location of operands, based on the data dependencies determined by the data dependance check circuit. A set of register file port multiplexers select the tags generated by the tag assignment circuit and pass the tags onto the read address ports of the register file for storing execution results.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1997Date of Patent: October 26, 1999Assignee: Seiko CorporationInventors: Sanjiv Garg, Kevin Ray Iadonato, Le Trong Nguyen, Johannes Wang

Patent number: 5682148Abstract: A paging system repeatedly broadcast each message and associates a sequential message number with each paging message. The message number in each message serves two functions. First, the message number is used to determine if the same message was previously received and second, when a subscriber reviews the messages, missing messages can be readily detected by skipped message numbers. All messages that are transmitted are also stored at a clearinghouse and a subscriber can telephone the clearinghouse facility and request that particular missed messages be retransmitted or given by voice response over the telephone.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 1995Date of Patent: October 28, 1997Assignees: Seiko Corporation, Seiko Epson Corp.Inventors: Garold B. Patent number: 5552779Abstract: A wide area paging system is disclosed in which paging messages input to the system in one local area can be broadcast to a receiver in any other local area without necessarily broadcasting the message in all areas. A local area clearinghouse in each area stores resident subscriber data including current location and receiver serial number. This data is used to transfer messages over a data network to the correct clearinghouse. The system uses a TDM data protocol. The data is encoded and transmitted at a very high rate (e.g. , 19,000 baud) in short packets (256 bits/13 milliseconds) via stereo FM sidebands. Receivers are assigned to receive sequentially numbered time slots matching a portion of their address. The addresses of intended receivers are included in the data packets. Battery-powered receivers are deactivated between packets and reactivated in accordance with the sequential time slot number scheme to receive an incoming packet.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1992Date of Patent: September 3, 1996Assignees: Seiko Corporation, Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Garold B.
