Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing roller and a pressure roller provided in a rotatable manner, a heat source for heating the fixing roller, and a controller for controlling AC power supplied to the heat source. The fixing device fixes an unfixed image on a sheet held and conveyed by the fixing roller and the pressure roller. The controller causes a current to flow including current-carrying waveforms having different phase angles in half-wave units during preset control cycles.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a CPU, the CPU stores, in an HDD, a print job received via a network connection circuit. The CPU analyzes PDL data for each page of the print job, and executes a PDL process for generating bitmap data. When an unrecoverable error occurs in analyzing of the PDL data, only the PDL process is restarted, a print job in which an unrecoverable error occurs is re-input, and analysis is resumed from the page in which the unrecoverable error occurs. When an unrecoverable error occurs on the same page again, only the PDL process is restarted again, the page in which the previous unrecoverable error occurs is skipped, and analysis and printing of a next page are performed.

The UE comprises at least one of a transmission unit and a reception unit, wherein the at least one of the transmission unit and the reception unit receives, from a core network, a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment reject message including first identification information, the first identification information indicating behaviors of the UE after a first public land mobile network (PLMN) is changed; and a controller, wherein the controller: does not stop, when the first PLMN is changed, a back-off timer for congestion management based on single network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI), the back-off timer being activated in the first PLMN; and determines, based on the first identification information, whether initiation of a procedure for the S-NSSAI in a second PLMN is allowed after the first PLMN is changed.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a post-processor including a sheet detection circuit detecting a sheet inserted in a sheet insertion opening for manual stapling, a staple mechanism executing stapling processing on the sheet, and a drive circuit actuating the staple mechanism; a post-processing controller operating the drive circuit in response to detection of the sheet; a power circuit supplying power to the drive circuit and another circuit in the apparatus; and a power saving controller shutting off a power supply from the power circuit to the drive circuit and the other circuit and shifting from a normal mode to a power saving mode when a shifting condition is satisfied. Prior to shifting, the power saving controller checks the post-processing controller whether the stapling processing is currently executed, and, when the stapling processing is not currently executed, instructs prohibition of the stapling processing and shifts to the power saving mode.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to video coding and more particularly to techniques for performing deblocking of reconstructed video data. In one example, a method of filtering reconstructed video data is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving an edge type variable specifying whether a vertical or horizontal edge is filtered; deriving a maximum filter length based on the edge type variable; and performing a deblocking filtering for a current block based on the maximum filter length.
