Abstract: A number of data sets are recorded, including substrings. Sub-search strings are generated from a predetermined search string in the same manner as the substrings are generated from the complete strings. This procedure results in the provision of a searching method, which can be conducted with a small storage location requirement and with short computing times.
Abstract: The invention relates to the carrying out of verification processes with regard to authorization of user and/or payment processes by means of a mobile telephone terminal, whereby an identifier associated with an authorized user and/or payer is provided in such a way that it can be called up and represented on a display device of a mobile telephone terminal associated with the authorized user and/or payer. On the instructions of the authorized user and/or payer, the identifier is represented on the display device and optically scanned in an interrogation station. A control message with a request for confirmation of a process verifying the authorization of use and/or payment process is transmitted to the mobile telephone terminal. In order to grant use and/or carry out payment, the control message receives a reply by transmitting a confirmation message from the mobile telephone terminal to the interrogation station.
Abstract: The most important data in a first memory of a data processing system are stored in a limited second data memory given upon a transfer thereof. The demarcation between important (and still storable) data on the one hand and less important (and therefore no longer storable) data is made dependent on the available storage volume (SV) of the target data memory. This achieves that an optimal amount of the most important data can be stored on the target data memory.
Abstract: Key information is stored in a memory of a chip card for the purposes of partial personalization. For a complete personalization, an instruction sequence definition and an instruction sequence designed for a chip card application and including instructions to be carried out by the chip card are transmitted to the chip card. A check which is secured by the key information is carried out for each chip card instruction to determine whether the chip card instruction satisfies the instruction sequence definition, and if it does, the chip card instruction is carried out by the chip card.
