    Abstract: A torque sensor assembly includes a reduced hysteresis by imparting a magnetoelastic ring with a first remnant magnetic field and a second remnant magnetic field that are disposed in opposite orientations. The first and second magnetic fields are spaced apart such that a third magnetic field is created within the magnetoelastic ring. The third magnetic field is a loosely pinned magnetic domain that imparts a negative hysteresis within the magnetoelastic ring. The negative hysteresis imparted to the magnetoelastic ring provides for the countering of positive hysteresis created by the application of torque.

The valve group subassembly insertable within the overmold includes a tube assembly having an inlet tube and a filter assembly. An axially displaceable armature assembly confronts the pole piece and is adjustably biased by a member engaged with an adjusting tube with a filter assembly mounted thereon. The seat assembly includes a flow portion and a securement portion having respective first and second axial lengths at least equal to one another.

In one embodiment, an estimated ramp time injection is calculated from a measured voltage and is used to delay or advance application of the voltage on the coil so that the load current reaches a desired current level at a desired injection start time. In another embodiment, an actual ramp time for a given injection is measured and used to predict future ramp times. A current regulator prevents excessive emissions from being generated when controlling the load current.

    Abstract: A through the hole rotary position sensor which incorporates a single ring magnet with a central aperture is disclosed. The rotating shaft whose angular position is to be sensed is adapted to be received in the central aperture. One or more magnetic flux responsive elements are disposed adjacent the pole pieces. In order to shield the sensor from undesirable magnetic flux influences through the rotatable shaft, an optional internal shunt ring may be provided around the exterior of the rotatable shaft. In order to shield the sensor from undesirable external magnetic flux influences, an optional external shunt ring and top and bottom shunt discs may also be provided. The circular magnet, pole pieces, magnetic flux responsive element, optional shunt rings and shunt discs are carried by a non-magnetic housing.

A plurality of pockets 30 are provided in the internal surface 27 of the bottom for collecting foreign particles that may enter the reservoir.
