Abstract: A pull printing system according to one aspect of the disclosure includes a server computer, a manager image forming apparatus, and a client image forming apparatus. The manager image forming apparatus includes a manager-side print execution unit that executes a print job received to a first port number, a job management unit that manages the print job received to a second port number different from the first port number in association with the user, and a job transmitting unit. The job transmitting unit transmits the print job associated with a user authenticated by the server computer to the client image forming apparatus among the print job managed by the job management unit.

Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus that adjusts a thin character, a thin line, or the like, which are read in a manuscript, to become identifiable. Abstract: A representative positron emission tomography (PET) system includes a positron emission tomography detector having one or more silicon photomultipliers that output silicon photomultipliers signals. The PET system further includes a calibration system that is electrically coupled to the silicon photomultipliers. The calibration system determines a single photoelectron response of the silicon photomultipliers signals and adjusts a gain of the silicon photomultipliers based on the single photoelectron response.

Abstract: An automated seed packet handling machine is provided for use on research plot seed planters. The seed packet handling machine includes a tray for holding a box containing seed packets. A first actuator has suction cups for lifting a single seed packet out of the box and moving the seed packet to a cutter mechanism for cutting off a top portion of the seed packet. A second actuator has suction cups for holding the seed packet after the top portion has been cut off, and for flipping the seed packet upside down to dump seeds from the packet into a seed chute. A computer controller controls the sequence of operations of the first actuator, the cutter mechanism, and the second actuator. An RFID reader is provided to read RFID tags on the seed packets to keep track of where each seed packet is planted in the research field.

Abstract: A dishwasher appliance includes a spray detection sensor and a variable speed pump. Based upon signals from the spray detection sensor, a speed of the variable speed pump is changed. By changing the speed of the variable speed pump, a trajectory of wash fluid from a spray assembly of the dishwasher appliance is also changed such that the wash fluid is directed towards a detergent dispenser of the dishwasher appliance. Abstract: A nonvolatile memory storage controller is provided for delivering log likelihood ratios (LLRs) to a low-density parity check (LDPC) decoder for use in the decoding of an LDPC encoded codeword. The controller includes read circuitry for reading an LDPC encoded codeword stored in a nonvolatile memory storage module using a plurality of soft-decision reference voltages to provide a plurality of soft-decision bits representative of the codeword. The controller further includes a plurality of neighboring cell contribution LLR look-up tables representative of the contribution of the neighboring cells to threshold voltage distribution of the memory storage module. The controller provides the LLRs from the appropriate LLR look-up table to an LDPC decoder for the subsequent decoding of the codeword.

Abstract: A hybrid imaging array and method for using the same is disclosed. The image array includes a low-light imaging array and a color imaging array. Abstract: The fermentation of cucumbers and other vegetables into pickles is traditionally a long term process. By exposing the flesh of the vegetable and pickling with calcium chloride instead of sodium chloride, a faster fermentation pickle is achieved with no decrease in quality.
