Abstract: Provided are a medical observation system, a control device, and a control method that are configured to prevent flickering of a portion to be observed of an object to be observed and reduce the size of the device. The medical observation system 1 includes an image sensor 212, a second control unit 94 that causes a light source device 3 to simultaneously emit second visible light and excitation light, and an image processing unit 91 that generates a fluorescence image based on a first pixel value that is output from a pixel in which a first filter is arranged and that is contained in image data and a background image based on a second pixel value that is output from a pixel in which a second filter is arranged.

Abstract: A trailer hitch system of the present disclosure includes a power through ball hitch and a power through trailer coupler equipped with electronic connectors such that an electric connection between a tow vehicle and a trailer is automatically made when the trailer coupler is attached to the ball hitch. The trailer hitch system may further include a ground plate configured to contact the trailer coupler for forming a continuous ground connection between the tow vehicle and the trailer. The trailer hitch system may further include a ball hitch adapter configured to couple to a hitch receiver and electrically connect to the ball hitch for grounding the ball hitch to the tow vehicle and/or supplying power to the power through ball hitch. The ball hitch adapter may be adaptable to various existing receiver hitch lengths, ball hitch lengths, and/or class ratings.

Abstract: A system for detecting a maintenance need of an autonomous vehicle operating as part of a cargo transport system is described. The system includes a control unit and a remote sensor arranged separate from the autonomous vehicle. The control unit is arranged to obtain, via the remote sensor, a current driving behaviour of the autonomous vehicle in a test area; obtain a baseline driving behaviour of the autonomous vehicle in the test area; determine a deviation of the current driving behaviour from the baseline driving behaviour; and detect a maintenance need of the autonomous vehicle based on the determined deviation.

The system may, via channel control logic (CCL), delegate the messages to one or more subject-domain downlink channels (SDDCHs). The CCL may determine to create new SDDCHs to facilitate accurate placement of messages within defined subject-domains corresponding to the various SDDCHs.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for an extensible, format-independent middleware message interpreter is disclosed in which a host machine is configured with a universal message service (UMS). The UMS communicates with local and cloud servers and destination devices. The UMS is configured with a plug-in service that can accommodate plug-in libraries of plug-in modules. The UMS receives formatted messages from the local and cloud server applications and destination devices, parses the messages, and identifies a command message type. Based on the command message type, the UMS performs actions including executing the local command on the host machine, relaying the embedded-sub-message data to the at least one destination device as indicated by the destination identification, and relaying the embedded-sub-message data to the plug-in service.

The data is in the form of textual data. The document management system also defines and determines keywords to use in processing the data from the platform. A processing engine generates a document from the data and identifies one or more keywords within the document. It then categorizes the document according to the identified keywords and stores the document under a categories related to the keywords at a document management server. Access to the categorized documents on the document management server is controlled by a policy applicable to users within the document management system.

Abstract: Provided is a voice assistance system with proactive routines that couples a remote server and respective user voice interactive devices to deliver a complete experience to the end user of the device. The user devices can be managed by groups and/or associated entities who manage voice services for their users. For example, the entities can provide pre-configured voice routines that perform actions on behalf of their users. The voice assistance system can also allow users to customize these routines to improve day to day operation. In addition, external services and/or providers can be linked to the system and allowed to define routines that have external system dependencies. Avoiding and managing conflicts in this environment becomes quite challenging. Some approaches use execution queues and priority, others invoke time slices and limitations on assignment of routines to time slices to resolve these issues, among other examples.
