Abstract: A cup carrier having a band made of resilient plastic material and having a plurality of cup engaging sections, each of which is intended to surround more than half the circumference of a cup. A web for supporting the cups from the bottoms is suspended beneath the band by a plurality of downwardly converging strips. The carrier is nestable with other identical carriers.
Abstract: A food serving system for delivering prepared meals to locations remote from the point of preparation which includes a mobile cart having its own low voltage rechargeable power pack that may be utilized to make the cart self powered. The cart has a tier of shelves for carrying removable, generally flat, individual, food serving trays. Each shelf is provided with one or more thermally isolated heat transfer devices which may be energized when a tray is placed on the shelf in the cart. The heat transfer devices are intended to maintain the food in selected dishes and bowls at the desired serving temperature for extended periods without affecting the temperature of the foods and beverages in other dishes, bowls and cups on the trays, so that the food remains at the proper serving temperature.
Abstract: A thin wall disposable plastic lid designed to stack with other substantially identical lids without compacting having a circular closure wall and a surrounding downwardly extending skirt. A pair of downwardly extending, closely spaced, annular ribs are formed in the circular closure wall, and a plurality of upwardly extending bosses are also formed in the closure wall and span the space between the ribs. The bosses engage the bottom of the ribs of the next upper lid in the stack when nested to prevent the lids from jamming together.

Abstract: A portable tray warming unit comprising a casing having at least one tray supporting rack, trays to be supported and received upon said rack, and electrical terminal means for interconnecting the tray warming unit with an external electrical source of energy. The casing of this tray warming unit has dimensions and weight small enough so that the unit may be easily carried about or lifted. The upper and lower surfaces of the casing lie in planes parallel to each other so that one unit may be stacked on top of another. To further facilitate such stacking the bottom surface of a unit has protrusions extending downwardly from the bottom and these protrusions correspond to indentations in the top surface of the casing. This correspondence allows the protrusions of one unit to fit into the indentations of the unit on which it is stacked thereby assuring a non-slidable connection between the two units.
Abstract: A measuring device to determine whether the width of a printed bar falls within prescribed tolerances has a sleeve with a magnifying lens at one end and a reticle at the other end. The reticle is inscribed with indicia for providing an immediate visual indication of the magnitude of width of the bar.
Abstract: A disposable plastic lid for a container includes a generally round closure wall and a depending peripheral skirt for engagement with the container. The closure wall includes an improved stacking facility by which a plurality of such container lids may be stacked one on top of the other in a manner which precludes the stacked lids from being jammed together. The stacking means also retards materially any tendency for the lids in the stack to slip sideways with respect to each other which provides a very stable stack without supplementary supports.
