Abstract: The coffee maker for brewing powder coffee contained in a cartridge comprises a brewing chamber adapted to receive the cartridge, at least one punching member for punching the cartridge and a pump for feeding brewing water into the brewing chamber. In order to avoid that the prepared coffee shows froth at its surface, the coffee maker comprises means for restricting the amount of water fed by the pump into the brewing chamber per unit of time. This means ensures that the brewing water flows through the cartridge essentially unpressurized.

Abstract: An infusion device for making beverages using cartridges, such as capsules or pods, comprises an openable infusion unit (3) comprising at least one part (4) able to move between a home position and an operating position, a first standby zone (8) for a cartridge (2) being formed when the mobile part (4) is in the home position, first retaining means for a cartridge (2) in the first standby zone (8), a motor (13) for moving the mobile part (4), means for expelling the cartridge (2) from the unit (3), and at least one device (1) operation check and control unit (35); there are also second retaining means (36) positioned between a cartridge insertion section (34) and the first standby zone (8), to selectively retain a cartridge (2) at a second standby zone (37), the check and control unit (35) being programmed to cause the dispensing of two beverages, one after another, using two cartridges.

Abstract: An apparatus for sorting objects conveyed by a conveying line, comprises a portion of conveying line (2) at which the objects (3) are sorted, a plurality of gripping means (4) for gripping the objects (3) operating at a portion of conveying line (2). The gripping means (4), on command and selectively, pick up the objects present on the portion of conveying line (2) and transfer them onto supports (5) in temporary waiting areas preselected for forming stacks of objects (3) homogeneous with each other. Lifting and conveying means (6) are provided for lifting, on command, single objects or stacks of objects (3) resting on supports (5) in preselected temporary waiting areas and conveying them onto an evacuation line (7).

Abstract: A method for preparing a drink by passing hot water in a capsule (1), in which first at least one cut (10) extending in a linear fashion is made through the second wall (3) of the capsule (1), substantially without removing material from it. The adjacent portions (11) of the second wall (3) delimiting the cut (10) are then allowed to draw near one another again if necessary, then, by injecting hot water into the capsule, the internal pressure in the capsule is increased to cause at least partial expulsion of the air contained in it substantially without dispensing the liquid, and, then, by deformation of the second wall (3), the adjacent portions (11) delimiting the cut (10) are moved away from one another, allowing the drink to flow out. Abstract: A fuel cell electric generator designed for back-up in the absence of network electricity supply. The generator comprises a fuel cell stack, means for supplying the stack with a first and a second reagent flow comprising, in turn, pressure reducing means, and a manifold body to communicate with the stack said first and second reagent flows and at least a flow of coolant fluid via a respective coolant loop. The manifold body comprises inside chambers for the mixing of said reagent flows with corresponding re-circulated product flows and a coolant fluid expansion chamber within which said pressure reducing means of said first and second reagent flows are positioned at least partially drowned by said coolant. Method for the start-up and shutdown of the generator, and a method for detecting the flooding of a fuel cell and a method for detecting the presence of gas leakages in the generator are also disclosed.

Abstract: A transfer decorating machine that utilizes powdered material or granules comprises: a mobile rest surface (10), on which the objects to be decorated are translated according to a predetermined direction; a device for the application of a decoration, operating above the mobile rest surface (10) and provided with a mobile transfer belt (3), which is a closed loop between movement rollers (2, 20) having mutually parallel axes, and serves the function of receiving a decoration realized with powdered material or granules (9) and then transferring it on objects to be decorated. Said device comprises a first unit (100) suitable for composing a decoration on the transfer belt (3) and a second unit (200) that carries out the transfer of the decoration from the transfer belt (3) onto an object to be decorated. The transfer belt (3) is commanded to move in a direction concordant with that of the mobile rest surface (10).
