Patents Assigned to Tana Jyra Ky
  • Patent number: 5110067
Abstract: The object of the invention is a transfer device that will grip double wheels of very different size, which is intended to move an aircraft (1) or other device equipped with double wheels on a base, which transfer device includes a fork-shaped frame and pairs of rollers (3, 4) attached to both forks (2), compression devices for them and devices to rotate the rollers, both pairs of which rollers (3, 4) being placed from the side in front and behind the wheel (6) of the device (1) to be moved. According to the invention the forks (2) are attached to the frame part (7) that connects them by means of parallelogram arms (5), which are adapted to provide the rollers (3, 4) with the lateral movement required when being placed around double wheels (6) and which transfer device includes operating devices (18) to turn the parallelogram arms.

  • Patent number: 4861187
Abstract: The object of the invention is a method of arranging the cooling in a compactor equipped with at least one roller drum, in which the motor and/or other equipment, for example the hydraulic system, has forced circulation water cooling or water cooled closed forced circulation air cooling. The intention of the invention is to remove the problem of the dirtying of the radiator cells that exists in present cooling systems. In the method in accordance with the invention the cooling water is circulated through the roller and is brought in thermal contact with the outer covering of the roller in order to transfer the heat from this to the surrounding air and to the ground. Further, a heat exchanger through which coolant flows may also be placed inside the roller, immersed in a second volume of cooling fluid. The heat exchanger may be placed into direct physical contact with the outer cover of the roller.

  • Patent number: 4854772
Abstract: A method for manufacturing such compactors in different sizes that are meant to be used e.g. on dumping sites for crushing refuse and for compacting the refuse layer. The main parts of the compactors are chassis, engine and cylinder-shaped drums. As per the method according to the invention the compactors are essentially assembled of interchangeable components and modules, of which a varying number is used in assembling compactors of different sizes. The invention also relates to manufacturing a compactor of a compactor series by means of the method. According to the invention the compactor series is mainly assembled by selecting interchangeable drum unit components from three different widths and by using 1, 2, 3 or 4 power transmission gear assemblies, according to the size of the compactor, attached to the ends of the drum unit or units.

  • Patent number: 4730685
Abstract: This invention relates to a driving apparatus being provided for an aircraft or other wheeled vehicle by providing at least two frictional rollers which are mounted spaced from each other and adapted to be positioned on opposite sides of the wheel assembly of the vehicle, whether this wheel assembly consists of a single wheel or two or more wheels. A moving or pressing means is provided for pressing the rollers into frictional contact with the wheels of such wheel assemblies by, for example, controlling the spacing between the rollers. Drive means are then provided for rotating at least one of the friction rollers causing the vehicle wheel or wheels in contact therewith to also be rotated to move the vehicle.
