    Abstract: A sewing device comprises endless conveyer belts for feeding a sewn product on a feeding surface, a feeding drive unit, a sewn product supporting member which is provided under the endless conveyer belts on the feeding side of the sewn product and a cloth end detecting means which is provided between the needle position line of a pair of sewing machines and the sewn product supporting member for detecting either of the front end portion or the rear end portion of a preceding sewn product when a given interval is formed between the preceding sewn product which has been fed by the endless conveyer belts and a following sewn product which is placed on the sewn product supporting member, wherein the feeding drive unit starts operation upon completion of lifting of the sewn product supporting member which carries the following sewn product thereon and stops operation when the cloth end detecting means detects either of the front end portion or the rear end portion of the preceding sewn product.

    Abstract: A label picking up device for drawing by suction the uppermost label from a plurality of labels accommodated in a pile in a label case by way of a vacuum suction unit and supplying the sucked label to a given sewing machine comprises a presser member which is inserted into the label case through a vertical opening portion formed on a side wall thereof for pressing the pile of the labels at an edge portion thereof in the label case from above at a given pressure and a peel-off plate for pushing out the uppermost label by rubbing the same on an edge portion of the upper surface thereof so as to release the same from being pressed down by the presser member. As a result, it is possible to draw the uppermost label by suction with certainty regardless of the weight of the label, the air permeability thereof, etc., and moreover supply the same to a given sewing position.

    Abstract: A thread end holding device for a sewing machine comprises a needle thread catching puller which is swingably supported on the side of a sewing machine arm and is driven to swing between a thread catching position and a home position, and which comprises a hook portion at the tip end thereof for catching a needle thread extending from a needle when said needle thread catching puller is at its thread catching position and holds the needle thread at its home position and first and a second holding members which are respectively mounted on the side of the sewing machine arm and is disengaged from the both clamping portions when the needle thread catching puller is at its thread catching position and enters a gap between the both clamping portions at the hook portion thereof so as to elastically clamp the end of the needle thread between the clamping portions when the needle thread catching puller is at its home position.

    Abstract: A stitch balancing thread tension device for a sewing machine, the body of which is inserted into the opening portion of the sewing machine body, wherein the thread tension device body for supporting a stem on which a pair of tension discs are fit, comprises a projecting portion which contacts the outer side surface of the sewing machine body and pawls which are retained at the circumferential edge of the opening portion by the inner side surface of the sewing machine body for clamping the sewing machine body therebetween. The pawls are elastically invaginable into the thread tension device body to release the sewing machine body from clamping. Since the thread tension device can be attached to or detached from the sewing machine body in one-shot operation, the operability is remarkably improved in efficiency.

    Abstract: A thread trimming device for a sewing machine in which a movable knife coupled to a thread trimmer lever by way of a link mechanism is turned to cut sewing threads in cooperation with a fixed knife, the first projection of the thread trimmer lever engaging in the cam groove of a thread trimmer cam, comprises a thread trimmer positive motion bracket having a second projection capable of engaging in the positive motion cam groove of a thread trimmer positive motion cam so as to keep the engagement of the first projection with the cam groove after the second projection thereof engages the positive motion cam groove until it is disengaged therefrom. Since the time of completing the thread trimming can be set by the positive motion cam groove of the thread trimmer positive motion cam, the timing of the thread trimming can be adjusted with certainty. Furthermore, the operating time of the driving means can be remarkably reduced.

    Abstract: A feeding device of a wide sewing material comprises a first belt conveyer unit provided on a supporting member vertically driven by a first elevating unit, a first base plate vertically driven by a second elevating unit provided on the supporting member, a horizontally driving unit for horizontally driving a second base plate and a second belt conveyer unit which is supported by the second base plate and is arranged on the side of the edge portion to be sewn of the wide sewing material in parallel therewith and which is driven to rotate by a rotary device. Since the feeding device can secure a large space from the edge portion by retracting the second belt conveyer units, next operation can be performed with ease. As a result, it is possible to perform the feeding and sewing of a wide sewing material, which is difficult to work at the edge portion thereof automatically, with accuracy and efficiency.

    Abstract: A steam burst electric iron utilizes a flat horizontal sole plate with a pointed front end and provided with a plurality of steam ports. A hollow body having a top disposed handle is disposed above and is secured to the sole plate. The portion of the body which is secured to the plate is congruent therewith. The front end of the body is disposed above the plate and contains a water inlet port. A water reservoir is disposed in the body. The reservoir is connected to the inlet port and has a floor which extends longitudinally through a major portion of the body. The reservoir has a front end communicating with the inlet port and has an opposite rear end. The floor is longitudinally inclined downwardly toward the rear end and contains a longitudinal recess extending between the front and rear ends of the reservoir. A manually operated steam burst pump has an actuating button disposed in the handle. The pump has an inlet and an outlet and extends downwardly in the body.

A spool pin guiding portion is defined b the opposing side surfaces of vertically extending two projections disposed on the back side of the side wall and is integrally formed with the upper cover. The swingingly guided portion of the spool pin, when it is inserted into the opening, is swingable and is guided by the spool pin guiding portion while the upper edge portion of the opening serves as a fulcrum for the turning of the spool pin.

    Abstract: A pattern generator for use in a zig-zag sewing machine wherein a needle bar is moved back and forth in an oscillatory movement to produce zig-zag action as a consequence of rotation of an arm shaft. The shaft rotates at a constant angular velocity with the period of time required for one cycle of oscillatory movement of the needle bar being equal to the period of time for two successive complete revolutions of the shaft. The generator includes a rotatable cam connected to the shaft to rotate the cam at the same velocity as the arm. A slide block follower engages the cam. The block has raised, intermediate and lowered positions in the cam and moves smoothly between these positions as the cam is rotated.

    Abstract: A device for producing a rolled hemming of a cloth including a rolling tool for rolling an edge of said cloth therein. The tool has an outer shell member and an inner shell member. A spiral shaped gap is formed between the shells for feeding the cloth edge therethrough. The gap has an entry opening for receiving the cloth edge and a discharge opening from which the cloth edge is discharged. The width of said gap decreases from the entry opening to the discharge opening. The tool is fixedly mounted upstream of a presser foot of a sewing machine with respect to a feeding direction of the cloth and downstream of the presser foot with respect to a cloth edge rolling direction. A cloth feeding mechanism for coercively tucking the cloth into the rolling tool in the rolling direction includes an endless sliding member for clamping the cloth edge at a portion of the shells whereby a portion of the cloth is exposed out of both shell members; and a rotary driving mechanism for driving the endless sliding member.
