    Abstract: Provided is a method of producing a printing plate, especially a gravure plate with cushion properties, which enables direct gravure printing on a hard printing target without using a blanket roll owing to being provided with cushion properties, effects a satisfactory gravure printing on a rough surface such as corrugated cardboard, and is suitable for color-printing a matrix image for forming a color filter on glass for liquid crystal panels or an image on a compact disk or the like.     Abstract: The present invention provides a copper plating method and apparatus for a gravure cylinder in which copper plating with more uniform thickness can be provided over a full length of a gravure cylinder without causing defects such as rashes and pits irrespective of a size of the gravure cylinder, concentration of a copper plating solution can be managed automatically, a consumption amount of an additive is reduced to make it possible to perform a plating treatment within a short period of time, a power supply cost is reduced, and handling is easy with excellent visibility. A gravure cylinder in a hollow cylindrical shape is held at both ends in a longitudinal direction. The gravure cylinder is accommodated in a plating bath filled with a copper plating solution. The gravure cylinder is energized so that the gravure cylinder functions as a cathode while being rotated at a predetermined speed.

    Abstract: There are provided a plating method for a roll and a grinding method before a cell is formed in which copper sulfate plating having a uniform thickness without any particles or pits can be applied to the roll for a gravure printing, both a middle finish grinding and a mirror surface finish grinding not depending on a grinding stone grinding can be carried out in a short period of time and a high quality roll can be provided. The grinding is carried out after applying the copper sulfate plating to the roll to attain a mirror surface finish state. The copper sulfate plating is carried out in such a way that non-soluble anode having a length more than the maximum roll length is ascended to the rotating process roll and approached to the lower surface of the roll, plating liquid having some avoidable impurities becoming a cause of particles or pits removed through a filter so as to perform a plating having no thickened portions at both ends of the roll.
