Abstract: The invention relates to a process for hydrotreatment of a hydrocarbon feedstock, comprising the step of carrying out in situ or ex situ sulfurization of a catalyst and hydrotreating the hydrocarbon feedstock in the presence of the catalyst wherein at least one sulfur compound may be present in the feedstock; and a process for the purification of a hydrocarbon feedstock, comprising hydrotreating the hydrocarbon feedstock in the presence of a catalyst after sulfurization of the catalyst and oxidizing desulfurization of the hydrotreated feedstock; wherein the catalyst comprises a refractory oxide support, at least one metal of the Group VIII and at least one metal of the Group VI, both in an oxidized form, and at least one sulphone or sulphoxide compound derived from a benzothiophene compound.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for the continuous determination of the lubricating oil consumption of an internal combustion engine. The inventive method consists in: placing a determined quantity of at least one radioactive tracer in the lubricating oil of which the consumption is to be measured; and measuring the quantity of radioactive tracer(s) present in the gases released from the engine (2), said measurement being taken downstream of the engine.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for obtaining synthesis gas by partial catalytic oxidation, consisting in bringing a hydrocarbon in a gaseous state into contact with an oxidizing gas, and therefore possibly a small amount of water vapor, in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one silicon carbide at a temperature of more than 800° C. According to the invention, the silicon carbide has a specific surface which is determined by the BET method and which is less than or equal to 100 m2/g, the contact time between the mixture of gaseous hydrocarbon, oxidizing gas and silicon carbide being more than 0.05 seconds and the pressure inside the reactor being greater than atmospheric pressure.
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for making cold-process bituminous mixes, using a bitumen-type emulsion in aqueous phase and aggregates. It consists of treating said aggregates with an agent providing hydrophobicity, prior to mixing said emulsion with said aggregates.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for steam-cracking naphtha, according to which a charge of hydrocarbons containing a portion of paraffinic naphtha, which is modified by adding a combination of a first component containing a portion of gasoline and a second component containing a portion of at least one hydrocarbonated refinery gas, and a paraffin-rich change containing at least one parrafin selected among propane, butane, or a mixture thereof are fed through a steam cracker in the presence of vapor. Also disclosed is a hydrocarbon composition suitable for steam cracking, containing a portion of a paraffinic naphtha, which is modified by adding a combination of a first component containing a portion of gasoline and a second component containing a portion of at least one hydrocarbonated refinery gas and a paraffin-rich charge containing at least one paraffin selected among propane, butane, or a mixture thereof.
