Abstract: A pneumatic tire for preventing stones from being retained in the tread grooves whereby steps are provided on the lower half portion of the sidewalks of the grooves so as to extend from a side of the tread groove toward the center part thereof reducing the width of the groove in the lower part, and a plurality of narrow sipes are formed on end of the steps in a direction interesecting the tread groove.
Abstract: A radial tire for heavy load vehicles having a steel cord-reinforced belt interposed between the carcass of radial structure and the tread, which comprises a rubber reinforcing layer extending from the center toward the edges along the inside of the tread and having at least one quarter the tread width, said rubber reinforcing layer being made of a rubber composition containing resorcin or a resorcin derivative as a reinforcing agent in addition to carbon black and silica and also containing hexamethylenetetramine or a melamine derivative as a methylene donor, said rubber reinforcing layer having a reinforcing factor of 2.2 to 5.7 which is defined by .sqroot.E'.multidot.d [where E' denotes the dynamic modulus (MPa) of the rubber reinforcing layer and d denotes the thickness (mm) of the rubber reinforcing layer].

Abstract: A tire having superior cut resistance and less belt separation comprising a tread with steel cord belts in which a center rubber for middle part of the tread and a side rubber for both sides thereof are respectively formed of different rubber compositions, and in which at least an inner portion of the center rubber is composed of a rubber composition of superior cut resistance wherein either a natural rubber of a SBR blended natural rubber is compounded with carbon black of large iodine absorption number, silica and silane coupling agent expressed by a formula of (OR).sub.3 SiCnH.sub.2 nSmCnH.sub.2 nSi(OR).sub.3 or (OR).sub.3 SiCnH.sub.2 nX, while the side rubber is composed of a rubber composition having small heat build up.

Abstract: Method for measuring resistance to slippage comprising the steps of mounting a sample of rubber at the bottom of a pendulum freely swinging on a shaft, sliding the sample of rubber along a road surface sample which is either dry or wet during swinging of the pendulum, measuring kinetic energy loss of the pendulum due to sliding of the sample thus obtaining resistance to slippage, in combination with the step of either heating or cooling the sample of rubber to a predetermined temperature for performing the method.
Abstract: The present invention provides a film-coated shaped material for use in sealing an electronic part having high shape retentivity and prepared by blanking a film-coated epoxy resin sheet in a shape in conformity with the configuration of the electronic part, the epoxy resin sheet comprising a plastics film having a thickness of 10 to 1000.mu. and a layer of a curable epoxy resin composition in a substantially uncured state and formed on one surface of the film, the epoxy resin composition comprising per 100 parts by weight of an epoxy resin, 5 to 50 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin having a number average molecular weight of at least 5000, 5 to 300 parts by weight of an inorganic filler and a curing agent, and a chip sealing material flow preventing frame comprising the above film-coated epoxy resin.

Abstract: The present invention provides a polyurethane foam interior finishing material having a facing, characterized in that the material comprises a laminate of a thermoplastic synthetic resin facing material and an expanded pad layer, the expanded pad layer comprising a semi-rigid polyurethane foam reinforced with long glass fibers, the long glass fibers being present in the pad layer primarily in the vicinity of the rear side thereof, the finishing material having no core. The polymer has higher heat resistance and greater mechanical strength as compared to corresponding polyester-urethanes.
