Patent number: 8476843Abstract: A driving circuit for a single-string light-emitting diode (LED) lamp includes a push-pull converter. The push-pull converter converts an input low DC voltage (such as 12-19V) to a high DC voltage (such as above 200V) to supply power to the single-string LED lamp. The driving circuit controls a lamp current flowing through the single-string LED lamp by constant current and adjusts brightness of the single-string LED lamp by pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming. In addition, the single-string LED lamp provides the standardization design for connectors of the driving circuit used to connect to the single-string LED lamp so that the driving circuit has a better common-use characteristic. Moreover, the driving circuit does not need a current balance circuit and only needs a cheaper and general-purpose integrated circuit to control the push-pull converter to reduce design cost of the driving circuit.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2011Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: TPV Electronics (Fujian) Co., Ltd.Inventors: Zuo-Shang Yu, Tsung-Yen Lee

Patent number: 8368322Abstract: A driving circuit for an LED lamp including no more than 4 strings each having an input and an output terminals outputs a DC voltage of no more than 70V to the input terminals. The driving circuit includes constant current circuits each coupled between the output terminal of a corresponding string and ground. An on-off control signal controls whether the constant current circuits work to control whether the LED lamp works. A dimming control signal controls a duty cycle of working of to the constant current circuits to control a brightness of the LED lamp. The driving circuit further includes an overvoltage protection circuit and a switch. When a voltage at one input terminal is too high or a short circuit occurs in one string, the overvoltage protection circuit outputs an overvoltage control signal and accordingly the switch forces the on-off control signal to control the constant current circuits not to work.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2011Date of Patent: February 5, 2013Assignee: TPV Electronics (Fujian) Co., Ltd.Inventors: Zuo-Shang Yu, Tsung-Yen Lee, Jie Feng

Patent number: 8274255Abstract: The present invention is related to a multi-function remote control which is supplied power by a rechargeable battery. The multi-function remote control comprises a micro controller unit (MCU), a residual power display, a button unit, a current detector and a voltage detector. The MCU couples to the rechargeable battery and then charges or discharges the rechargeable battery. The current detector measures the current of the rechargeable battery and correspondingly outputs a current-value signal (Si) to the MCU. The voltage detector measures the voltage of the rechargeable battery and correspondingly outputs a voltage-value signal (Sv) to the MCU. Then, the MCU obtains the residual power of the rechargeable battery by means of analyzing the current-value signal (Si) and voltage-value signal (Sv), and then reveals the corresponding residual power by the residual power display. Whereby, the multi-function remote control might have functions of remote control, charging and revealing residual power.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2010Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Assignee: TPV Electronics (Fujian) Co., Ltd.Inventor: Shu Hong Wu

Publication number: 20120044142Abstract: A display having an auto-off function by person infrared sensing includes a display unit, an infrared sensor module, a control unit and a power supply unit. The infrared sensor module senses whether or not a person is within a zone surrounding the display, and generates a sensing trigger signal when sensing no person within the zone. A processor of the control unit stops outputting a control signal when keeping on receiving the sensing trigger signal for a predetermined period of time. The power supply unit supplies power to the control unit or to the display unit and the control unit when receiving the control signal, and enters a DC off mode to stop supplying power when not receiving the control signal. The present invention can automatically turn off the display when sensing no person within the zone for the predetermined period of time so as to achieve power saving.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2011Publication date: February 23, 2012Applicant: TPV ELECTRONICS (FUJIAN) CO., LTD.Inventor: SHU-HONG WU
