  • Patent number: 5807051
Abstract: An adhesive insert anchor including an anchor body and a screw member for insertion into a drilled hole in a substrate containing an adhesive. The anchor body further including an integral friction segment and an adhesion segment. The friction segment includes an internally threaded cavity in which to receive the screw member and a knurled portion. The adhesion segment includes a cylindrical section and a plurality of saucer-shaped buttons positioned along its length ending with a terminal button. The buttons on the adhesion segment provide greater surface area for contact between the adhesive and the anchor. The friction segment has an external diameter substantially the same as the diameter of the hole drilled in the substrate, thereby providing a friction fit between the anchor body and the walls of the substrate hole.

  • Patent number: 5413441
Abstract: A hybrid eccentric wedge anchor includes a cylindrical anchor body, an eccentric wedge unit, and cylindrical leading end. The eccentric wedge unit includes a tapered body, a shoulder between the tapered body and the anchor body, and a crescent shaped clip rotatably positioned around the tapered body. The longitudinal axis of the tapered body is different from the longitudinal axis of the anchor body. The shoulder varies in width around the circumference of the anchor body. As the crescent shaped clip rotates around the tapered body, its outer circumference varies from being flush with the outer circumference of the cylindrical anchor body to extending beyond the outer circumference of the cylindrical anchor body. The hybrid eccentric wedge anchor can be configured in many useful anchor forms having the eccentric wedge unit. Examples include, but are not limited to, expansion bolt or drop-in configurations.

  • Patent number: 4720224
Abstract: A sleeve anchor for use in a pre-drilled hole in concrete, masonry and the like includes a bolt with threaded outer end for receiving an internally threaded pressure member, e.g., a nut. The inner end defines a shank terminating in a head of diameter greater than the shank. The head has a tapered wedge-forming shoulder adjoining the shank. A sleeve is disposed concentrically upon the bolt and includes a collar extending along a threaded portion of the bolt at its upper outer end is disposed for receiving longitudinal pressure toward the inner end of the bolt generated by tightening of the nut. An inner portion of the collar is of petalform configuration, having three petals extending along the shank in closely-spaced side-by-side relationship. The petals are joined at proximal ends to the collar by respective pillars each of narrow arcuate extent, providing windows between the pillars of greater arcuate extent.
