  • Patent number: 11889588
Abstract: A user device provides, to a network, information associated with the user device, and receives, from the network, a multi-bit network indication that indicates access technologies, services, and network capabilities provided by the network. The user device determines whether the user device is in a home network or a visited network based on the multi-bit network indication. The user device passes bits of the multi-bit network indication to an upper layer when the user device is in the home network or passes a portion of the bits of the multi-bit network indication to the upper layer when the user device is in the visited network. The user device receives a selection of one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities, and receives, from the network, the one of the access technologies, the services, or the network capabilities for the user device based on the selection.

  • Patent number: 11889318
Abstract: Systems and methods provide reliable voice connections dual-connectivity environments, given limitations of available spectrum. A system includes a first wireless station and a second wireless station. The first wireless station provides a shared spectrum of a first frequency band, the shared spectrum including a first spectrum for a first cellular wireless standard and a second spectrum for a second cellular wireless standard. The second wireless station is at least partially within a coverage area of the first wireless station and provides a third spectrum for the second cellular wireless standard. The third spectrum is a millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum. The first wireless station broadcasts a parameter barring an end device in an idle mode from camping on the second spectrum. The first wireless station or the second wireless station triggers the end device to swap to the second spectrum when a paging request for a voice call is received.

  • Patent number: 11889402
Abstract: A first device may dynamically switch a proximity detection point from a second device, conducting an on-going call via a device identifier, to the first device. The first device may receive a proximity detection signal or an indication of a loss of a proximity detection signal from the second device, wherein the first device and the second device are associated with the device identifier. The first device may receive, from a network, another indication of the on-going call being conducted by the second device and may provide, to the network, a call origination request to pull the on-going call based on the proximity detection signal or the indication and based on the other indication of the on-going call. The first device may connect with the on-going call based on the call origination request and may conduct the on-going call via the first device rather than the second device.

  • Publication number: 20240031284
Abstract: A system described herein may identify that a first container and a second container of a virtualized environment are instantiated at a particular node that is associated with a particular address (e.g., an Internet Protocol (“IP”) address). The system may identify a logical association between the first and second containers, such as a logical and/or hierarchical association specified by a custom resource definition. The system may generate a first Domain Name System (“DNS”) record (e.g., an “A” record) associating the first container with the address of the particular node, and may a second DNS record (e.g., a “CNAME” record) associating the second container with the first container. The system may provide the first and second DNS records to a DNS server, which may provide the address of the particular node when receiving a DNS request specifying the second container.

  • Publication number: 20240028403
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may determine cluster arrangements of clusters of technicians to perform a job. The device may provide, as input to a model, input values corresponding to exogenous factors associated with the job and with the cluster arrangements. The device may receive, as an output from the model, forecast values corresponding to endogenous factor(s) associated with the cluster arrangements. The device may determine combined forecast values associated with the cluster arrangements. A combined forecast value associated with a particular cluster arrangement may be a combination of forecast value(s) corresponding to the endogenous factor(s) associated with the particular cluster arrangement. The device may identify a selected cluster arrangement having a lowest combined forecast value. The device may assign the job to one or more technicians associated with the selected cluster arrangement.

  • Patent number: 11882489
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for providing a differentiated neighbor list that can be individually generated for a specific service (e.g., per service) based on network service information, which can include, but is not limited to, a user equipment (UE) group identifier (ID), network slicing and/or quality of service (QoS) flow, and the like. Neighbors within the differentiated list can be characterized based on, but not limited to, service types, distance to devices, transport costs, service locations, and the like, or some combination thereof. The disclosed framework can generate and dynamically update a differentiated neighbor list for specific types of services so that optimal neighbor selection is performed for the type of service a UE is operating within to ensure that a network connection is maintained at a threshold satisfying QoS.

  • Patent number: 11880942
Abstract: An exemplary method includes a proximity detection system that accesses information associated with a virtual location marker positioned in relation to a geographic area. The information defines a location-based field of view (“LFOV”) that extends directionally from the virtual location marker. The proximity detection system further tracks a location of a mobile computing device at the geographic area and determines, based on the information associated with the virtual location marker and the location of the mobile computing device, that the mobile computing device has entered the LFOV that extends directionally from the virtual location marker.

  • Patent number: 11882587
Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for identifying User Equipment (“UEs”) associated with relevant users, such as “personal” UEs associated with first responders, based on the occurrence of an event, notifying the UEs of the event, and modifying radio access network (“RAN”) parameters such that the identified UEs are provided with priority access. Further, such modifications may be temporary (e.g., reverted after the event has occurred). In this manner, personal UEs associated with relevant users may be dynamically provided priority access in situations where such access may be beneficial, without needing to permanently provide the priority access to such UEs.
