Abstract: A single hung window jamblinder is utilized in combination with a window frame having a pair of vertical jambs, the jambs having a vertical, generally T-shaped pocket therein. The jambliner includes an elongated channel member having a base portion and a pair of upstanding sides, and a pair of leg portions mounted on the channel member sides which will receive the stile of a sash and allow for slidable movement of the sash therealong. A resilient vinyl layer is secured along the channel base, and is wider than the channel base so as to protrude beyond each side of the base. The vinyl layer will have a width substantially equal to the width of the jamb pocket to retain the jambliner in position in the jamb. A resiliently compressible sponge-like pad is mounted on the vinyl layer, and is thick enough to bias the vinyl layer against the edges of the jamb pocket so as to prevent airflow between the jamb pocket and the exterior of the jamb.

Abstract: A combination brake light and interior light for mounting on the rear door of a truck cap. The combination light includes a housing mounted on the rear door of the truck cap. The housing holds a brake light indicator lens on one side, facing the rear door. When the rear door is closed, the brake light indicator lens is substantially vertically disposed. Proximate to the brake light indicator lens, a brake light bulb is disposed within the housing. Apparatus for energizing the brake light bulb upon operation of the truck brakes are included. Additionally, an interior light lens is held on another side of the housing. Proximate to the interior light lens, an interior light bulb is held within the housing. Apparatus for selectively energizing the interior light bulb are also included.

Abstract: A multilayered transparent temporary window that can be conveniently and easily installed to cover the opening produced by a broken automobile window or the like comprising two superimposed layers of flexible transparent polymeric film adapted to cover and extend beyond the opening of the window with a thin film layer of transparent adhesive sandwiched between these layers, wherein at least one of the layers of flexible transparent film is perforated along a plurality of preselected lines that form sections or segments of film that can be peeled away, thus exposing the adhesive such as to bond the temporary window in place during use.

Abstract: An access window for use in fast food establishments and other similar drive-thru business establishments is disclosed. The window broadly comprises an elastic operating mechanism, two planar window members and a segmented articulated push-bar operator which is pushed to open the access windows. The push-bar operator can be locked in the open position. Upon releasing and/or unlocking the operator push-bar assembly the access window returns to its closed position by means of a closer bias member. The access window also comprises a locked window bias member which absorbs the pushing action on the operator push-bar, in the event the access window is latched shut, without damaging the access window and further without damaging the operating mechanism.

Abstract: An access window for use in fast food establishments and other similar drive-thru business establishments is disclosed. The window broadly comprises a semi-manually operated closing mechanism along with two planar window members. The closing mechanism employs substantially flat circumferential grooves cut into rotors located in a bottom hinge assembly. These rotors, together with a flexible elastic linkage, enable the uniform and smooth rotation of the window members from a fixed closed to a fixed open position and enable the window members to be rotated from a fixed open to a fixed closed position when either of the window members are pulled or pushed a short distance in the direction of the closed position.

Abstract: A frame for mounting a window or other panel-like member in the wall of an automobile, van, truck, watercraft, and the like is formed from an elongated extrusion having a T-shaped slot adapted to receive a trim strip bearing a decorative stripe. The extrusion may be bent with the trim strip in the T-shaped slot to form corners and bends in a frame without damage to the appearance of the stripe.

Block and tackle sash balance counter balance the weight of individual panels and provide a lateral resilient action to maintain panels in position. A double action leaf spring stop for each panel selectively disengages the sash balances therefrom so that by moving a panel laterally it is removable. Window and panel frame members consist of aluminum extrusions which facilitate construction of custom windows made to selected sizes. Inside or outside flanges for securing the window to the wall structure are optionally provided.

Abstract: An improved animal enclosure including a pair of adjacent transparent panels supported in a frame and which are separately and independently removable for cleaning without requiring removal of the other panel or of the animal. An air filter assembly draws fresh air into the enclosure and filters the air prior to exhausting the air. An improved perch holder compensates for irregularities in tree branches used for animal perches. The bottom tray of the enclosure is removable and replaced with an identical tray which has been treated with grass seed and sunlight.

Abstract: There is disclosed an automotive roof vent window designed for ease of retrofit installation and ease of removal of the vent window panel after installation. The vent window has a main frame and clamping trim ring secured thereto with self tapping screws. The vent window panel is pivotally mounted to the main frame by hinged brackets having a slotted aperture which receives threaded pins permanently carried by the vent window panel and clamped to the brackets by thumb nuts. The opposite edge of the window panel is secured by a toggle latch assembly that is pivotally engaged to a mounting bracket of the window frame by a pin removably seated in slotted apertures of the bracket. The pin has indexing flats to permit its withdrawal when rotated to align the flats with the slots of the apertures. The pin is securely locked in the assembly by a dependent lever having resilient detenting tabs.

Abstract: Anti-rattle, disengagable hinge comprising two members respectively having mating concave and convex surfaces held together by wire-form spring. Spring prevents rattle but allows relative sliding motion of surfaces over an arc. Surfaces can be disengaged at one end of the arc.

Abstract: A window sash construction is disclosed for wood framed windows in which a particular stile-rail and check rail member configuration is utilized to adapt a given sash to both vertical double hung and horizontal sliding installations, each sash unit being constructed with a common stile and rail sectional configuration such that all stile and rail members may be provided by two sash member types differing only in having two different end configurations and a common check rail shape in oder to assemble the universal sash units. A reversible common check rail configuration is also provided such that the sash units can be oriented in any mating arrangement while obtaining a proper seal.

Abstract: A fixed frame mounted on a housing and a vent frame hinged to the fixed frame. The vent frame is moved between closed and open positions by a single-handle double operator actuated from the interior of the housing. The hinge and operator apply forces to create a continuous water seal in the closed position. The seal and hinge prevent rattle of the vent frame.

Abstract: An annular outer frame mounts the assembly in a vehicle. A pair of pivots rotatably support an inner frame (which mounts a window) for rotation about an offset axis between open and closed positions. The pivots can support a frameless window. One of the pivots has a spring-like arm actuated by manually twisting a handle. The arm grips a pivot stud which locks the inner frame or window in a desired position or by proper setting, the gripping pressure exerted by the arm on the stud can provide for a clutch action.

Abstract: A vent window assembly having a seal with both side and edge sealing surfaces; pivot means support the glass and are spaced away from the opening so that no part pierces the seal which allows the seal to be an extruded piece continuous in the opening; the construction of the pivot means provided for the same to be used as a lock to hold the glass in the closed or in any open position or used as a clutch as by holding the glass in an open position but permitting the glass to yield upon impact.

Abstract: Tie bars which fasten abutting members (such as extrusions) and also function to draw the members into very tight engagement at the butt joint. The structure inhibits the members from moving apart and from twisting relative to one another.
