  • Patent number: 11649912
Abstract: Fretting wear in a pipe connector is avoided in advance. In a connector body (1), there is provided a gate member (29) having spring portions (33) that allow a pipe (P) to be inserted up to a regular depth while maintaining a contact state with the pipe (P). When a retainer (37) is pushed in with the pipe (P) being inserted to the connector body (1) up to the regular depth, locking legs (45) of the retainer (37) are locked to a bulge portion (6) of the pipe (P) and each locking leg (45) enters between the pipe (P) and the spring portion (33) and elastically displaces the spring portion (33) in a direction away from the pipe (P), thereby eliminating the contact state.

  • Patent number: 11635160
Abstract: The invention provides an articulated joint in a pneumatic conveying system of a boom of an agricultural dry product applicator. The joint allows adjacent product-conveying tubes and respective joint components to articulate with respect to each other while maintaining a seal for pneumatically conveying product. Joint components may be separated from each other when the boom is folded while articulating with respect to each other without disengaging or creating potential leaks at segment junctures while the boom is extended. The articulated joint includes a rigid socket having a first socket section and a second socket section providing support to a compressible seal having a first seal section and a second seal section. The first seal section is inserted into the second socket section to create an airtight seal in between the first seal section and the second socket section even when boom tube segments flex during use.

  • Patent number: 11613937
Abstract: This invention builds up on technical features and on the industry experience with the use of Merlin™ family connectors. In addition to friction, structural means utilized to transfer high torsional loads include keys and may also include: interlocked thread systems, shear pins, dog-clutch teeth and splines, all used in isolation or in arbitrary combinations. Static and fatigue bending load capacities of the connectors remain high, while the axial load capacities may or may not be high, depending on the design requirements. Connectors according to this invention can be built as new, carefully optimized designs. In some cases upgrading existing Merlin™ family connector designs to increase they torque transfer capacities may be also feasible.
