Abstract: A system for generating and managing usage-based insurance contracts configured to (i) store a plurality of offers for sharing transactions, where each of the plurality of offers includes an item being offered and an associated offerer; (ii) receive a selection from a buyer of an offer that is accepted by the buyer of the plurality of offers; (iii) automatically generate a usage-based insurance contract for the sharing transaction based on the offer; and (iv) transmit the insurance contract to at least one of the buyer and the associated offerer.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for presenting trading information. One example method includes displaying a plurality of effective trade indicators corresponding to price levels at which effective trades have been initiated, and displaying trading information corresponding to each effective trade. The effective trades can be determined based on user-configured trade definitions. The trading information can include a traded quantity and profit/loss corresponding to each effective trade. In addition to the trading information, current market information could be displayed as well in relation to the plurality of effective trades.

Abstract: Provided are a system, method, and computer program product for generating synthetic data. The method includes receiving a plurality of data types associated with an environment to be evaluated and receiving a plurality of correlations of one data type to another data type. The method also includes generating a correlation graph of the plurality of data types based on the plurality of correlations and generating a directed acyclic graph of the plurality of data types based on the correlation graph. The method further includes generating a hierarchical graph of the plurality of data types by applying a path traversal technique to the directed acyclic graph and generating a synthetic dataset by repeatedly traversing the hierarchical graph to generate a plurality of records of data.

Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting digital abuse or digital fraud that involves malicious account testing includes implementing a machine learning threat model that predicts malicious account testing using misappropriate accounts, wherein a subset of a plurality of learnable variables of an algorithmic structure of the machine learning threat model includes one or more learnable variables derived based on feature data indicative of malicious account testing; wherein implementing the machine learning threat model includes: (i) identifying event data from an online event that is suspected to involve digital fraud or digital abuse, (ii) extracting adverse feature data from the event data that map to the one or more learnable variables of the subset, and (iii) providing the adverse feature data as model input to the machine learning threat model; and computing, using the machine learning threat model, a threat prediction indicating a probability that the online event involves malicious account testing.

Abstract: An unpriced order auction and related market center and process are disclosed which allow posting market centers (e.g., exchanges) to schedule an auction that includes unpriced (Market) orders only. Such unpriced order auction executes at the midpoint of the NBBO, ensuring that the cross reflects the best prices in the entire marketplace, while discouraging the manipulation of the auction price on the posting market center. The disclosed auction also executes concurrently, but separately from the regular continuous matching process.

Abstract: Techniques are described for authenticating a user to perform secure transactions with a secure system via social media channels. In one example, the secure system may comprise a financial institution with which the user has at least one financial account, and the transaction may comprise a transfer of funds initiated within a social media application executing on a user computing device. According to the techniques of this disclosure, the secure system authenticates the user to perform the transactions based on a combination of a device identifier (ID) associated with the user computing device, a biometric ID of the user of the user computing device, and a social media ID associated with a social media account held by the user.

Abstract: A method of performing transaction processing operations at computing apparatus is provided, together with computing apparatus adapted to manage these operations. The computing apparatus includes a programmed processor adapted to provide the following functional elements. A agent manager node is adapted to install and deinstall transaction processing nodes. A transaction operation rules database holds transaction operation rules. An interface to a transaction processing infrastructure receives transaction data for the transaction processing operations. The transaction processing nodes are adapted to perform the transaction processing operation on the transaction data using the transaction operation rules under control of the agent manager node.

Abstract: A computing device includes a processing resource, a memory resource, and computer-executable instructions stored thereon and embodied in a biller exchange bill pay application. The instructions, when executed by the processing resource, cause the computing device to receive, from a remote computing system, a data set comprising a plurality of billers. Each of the plurality of billers is subscribed to a biller exchange structured to allow each of the plurality of billers to deliver and receive payment on customer bills via a biller exchange computing system. A user-interactive page comprising at least one user-interactive control is generated and displayed on the computing device. The user-interactive control includes at least one property dynamically populated based on the data set comprising the plurality of billers (such as, for example, a property binding the user-interactive control to the data set).

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for validating electronic distribution transactions and reducing non-compliant electronic distribution transactions. A distribution application enables users to enter details relating to a retirement account distribution. A tax service integrated with the distribution application provides scenario-specific tax withholding information, and enforces relevant tax withholding rules. A user provides withholding information and the system ensures compliance by validating the transaction against the withholding rules. The system displays to the user any errors that need to be corrected, and a breakdown of the proceeds from the transaction. The tax service is implemented remotely from the distribution application so that changing tax regulations may be implemented into the tax service without impacting the distribution application.

The personal data may be shared directly via transmission by the client device to the web companies. Alternatively, the personal data may be shared with the web companies via a personal data sharing system that collects and maintains personal data associated with users. The personal data sharing system may reward the user for sharing their personal data with the web companies.

Abstract: One embodiment includes a display system for use on the exterior of a vehicle having a display, a vehicle speed sensor, and a processor coupled to the vehicle speed sensor. The processor is configured to implement one of three operational modes of the display system based on the speed and state of the vehicle: a first operational mode, wherein a first content, including identification and/or registration information of the vehicle is rendered on the display at a first power consumption level; a second operational mode, wherein a second content, including a message, identification and/or registration information of the vehicle, is rendered on the display; and a third operational mode, wherein content is rendered on the display at a second power consumption level less than the first power consumption level.

Abstract: This invention discloses a novel system and method for distributing electronic ticketing such that the ticket is verified at the entrance to venues by means of an animation or other human perceptible verifying visual object that is selected by the venue for the specific event. Tins removes the need to use a bar-code scanner on an LCD display of a cell phone or other device and speeds up the rate at which human ticket takers can verify ticket holders.

Abstract: A food product recommendation system may include a camera configured to obtain an image of a food product area having available food products and a remote device associated with a given user. The system may also include a recommendation server configured to cooperate with the remote device to obtain a desired food product characteristic from the given user and determine recommended food products from the available food products based upon the desired food product characteristic. The recommendation server may also be configured to associate a corresponding food product identifier to each recommended food product and communicate the recommended food products to the remote device. The remote device may display the image of the food product area with the recommended food products augmented with the corresponding food product identifiers and obtain user selection for purchase of at least one of the recommended food products based upon the corresponding food product identifier.

In one aspect, a user may generate an image, annotate the image, and upload or otherwise disseminate the annotated image to a web page or the like. Annotations are provided as labels that provide information about the image or items therein. Further users may access the labels to access the information. The labels further enable searching and contextual advertising.

Abstract: A method of generating content information that matches at least one stored keyword is described. At least one keyword associated with content information is stored. At least one previously searched keyword in a search record is matched with the at least one stored keyword associated with the content information. First-category mapping data is generated based on a first mapping between the matched at least one stored keyword and the at least one previously searched keyword. Second-category mapping data is generated based on the content information and the at least one stored keyword. A received target keyword is determined to be included in the first-category mapping data. In response to the received target keyword, which is included in the first-category mapping data, circuitry of a terminal searches for the content information associated with the target keyword in the second-category mapping data and displays the content information.

Abstract: A store low-stock item reporting and promotion system may include a remote device to be carried by a shopper when shopping within a store and may be configured to acquire an image associated with an item. The system may include a server configured to obtain the image from the remote device, identify the item based upon the image, and determine a low-stock condition for the item based upon the image. Upon determining the low-stock condition, the server may generate a low-stock notification and communicate the low-stock notification to another device, and generate a digital promotion and communicate the digital promotion to the remote device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for notifying providers associated with virtual wallets that the virtual wallets are default virtual wallets for consumers and/or communication devices. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a wallet platform, a request, from a wallet provider associated with a virtual wallet, for confirmation that the virtual wallet is a default virtual wallet at a communication device, determining, by the wallet platform, whether the virtual wallet is the default virtual wallet at the communication device, and providing, by the wallet platform, a notification to the wallet provider. In connection therewith, the notification indicates whether or not the virtual wallet is the default virtual wallet at the communication device, thereby permitting the wallet provider to incentivize a consumer associated with the communication device to select the virtual wallet as the default virtual wallet when the virtual wallet is not the default virtual wallet.
