Abstract: A decking system is made up of a variety of decking boards and other components are disclosed. In some aspects, the decking boards are connectable to each other so that adjacent boards will provide a water barrier and a drainage channel. Some versions of the boards may have a hollow region to accept the provision of heating elements or other accessory structures. A connector piece is disclosed in various embodiments span the gap between the butt ends of the boards to provide a water barrier at the butt ends of the boards. A gutter and downspout system is disclosed, as well as structures for protecting the ends or sides of the deck structure.
Abstract: A decor apparatus is based on a flexible panel. In the apparatus, a support structure includes a rail, and a flexible panel having an edge is attached to the rail, with the attachment between the rail and the edge including a plurality of discrete attachment points. A trim piece for the flexible panel is connected to the rail from between the attachment points. The trim piece overlays the attachment between the rail and the edge outside of a plane of the flexible panel.

Abstract: A barrier material that includes a plurality of frame members adapted to form a frame, a plurality of support rods positioned in between the frame members, a barrier positioned within the frame, and a replacement barrier mat adapted to replace the barrier. The replacement barrier mat includes a plurality of intertwined material adapted to provide a wall and a plurality of tubes surrounded by the intertwined material. The tubes are adapted to receive the support rods inserted into the tubes. When the support rods are inserted into their respective tubes, the replacement barrier mat is positioned within the frame and forms a framed well.
Abstract: An expandable building assembly is provided, the building assembly having a retracted condition, in which the roof of the building has a first area, and an extended condition, in which the roof of the building has a second area, the second area being greater than the first, the assembly comprising a roof portion; and means for displacing and rotating the roof portion between the retracted condition and the expanded condition; whereby in the retracted condition, the roof portion is in a first position and at a first orientation, and in the extended condition, the roof portion is in a second position and at a second orientation, wherein the second position is displaced from the first position and the second orientation is rotated with respect to the first orientation. A building comprising one or more of the building assemblies is also provided.
Abstract: Systems, devices, apparatus, kits and methods of attaching rigid panels over door and window openings of structures such as buildings and houses, with connecting adapters attached to the panels by fasteners, and a security rod slid into holes on the adapters with ends that abut against portions of the adjacent frames and casings about the openings. The fasteners can fasten the adapters to the outside of the rigid panels which cover the outer opening.
Abstract: An inflatable hangar for an airship is provided with retractable support frames so that the structure retains sufficient shape when the structure is opened and deflated to permit entrance and exit of an airship. The inflatable structure is thus easily re-inflated. The resulting membrane structure is transportable and cost-effective.
Abstract: A waterproofing flashing and resulting juncture, comprising in a first embodiment a generally horizontally positioned planar member which is positioned in sandwiched engagement between the upper peripheral edge of a shower pan or shower bench sidewall (or equivalent wallboard) and a lower peripheral edge of adjacent wallboard (or equivalent shower bench, shelf or ledge), and a vertically extending member attached to a distal edge of the horizontal member extending vertically upwardly behind the wallboard (or equivalent shower bench, shelf or ledge). An alternative form of the invention comprises a T-shaped flashing member comprised of a mid-section to which are connected first and second attachment members or wings, the wings adapted to connect the flashing to the room-facing side of the wallboard and/or shower module sections.

Abstract: The invention provides for a pocketed anchor for post-tensioned concrete reinforcement. The anchor includes a body having a flange portion with a front and rear surface, a button portion extending from the rear surface, and a nose portion extending from the front surface. The anchor also includes a tapered bore that extends through the nose, flange, and button portions. The bore can receive a wedge that cams against the bore to clamp down on a tendon. The front surface of the flange has at least two planar surfaces that are parallel to the bearing surface on the rear surface of the anchor. One of the planar surfaces is recessed relative to the other such that the recessed surface is closer to the load bearing surface on the rear surface of the anchor. The two planar surfaces define a pocket on the anchor, where mounting holes may be located.
Abstract: A spring clip system for mounting material to a structure includes: a spring clip, a rail and a starter clip. A first end of the spring clip is threaded through a hole in the rail while a second end of the spring clip is placed over the edge of siding material. A bottom portion of the spring clip holds the top edge of siding board and a top portion is used to hold the bottom of next siding board. The first end of the clip is bent back over the edge of the hole in the rail against the force of the spring action and snapped over the outer edge and into a notch. The starter clip is holds the bottom edge of the first siding board. The starter clip is held in place by a pin and receives the bottom of the first siding board.

The solar panel mounting assembly may include a restraining element, a retaining element and a biasing assembly that supports the restraining and retaining elements. The biasing assembly may further include a biasing element that resiliently urges the retaining element toward a securing element for supporting a solar panel that is positioned between the retaining element and the upper surface of the support structure, and resiliently urges the restraining element toward the lower surface of the support structure. A retention device may resiliently bias the solar panels of a solar panel assembly together on a support structure.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for repairing a damaged door frame, wherein a jamb patch has a first portion adaptable to replace a removed section of the door frame and a second portion coupled to the first portion and adaptable to fit behind a remaining section of the door frame to align the first portion with the remaining section of the door frame. The second portion of the jamb patch may be slidably coupled to the first portion for location into a first position, wherein the first portion of the jamb patch overlaps the second portion, and into a second position, wherein the second portion of the jamb patch extends from the first portion. Alternatively, the second portion of the jamb patch may fixedly extend from the first portion of the jamb patch.

Abstract: Building environmental control systems are disclosed which comprise one or more prefabricated temperature sensing and control panels in operable communication with a system control unit, an air handling system, and a heating and/or cooling utility supply system. The panels are configured to constitute a portion of the sheathing of a building or an internal partition. According to some embodiments, the panels include an outer wall and an inner wall defining an inner space therebetween in which is situated a heat exchanger and a temperature sensor. Each panel comprises an inlet to admit an air stream into its inner space and an outlet for discharging the air stream into a space adjacent to the inner wall after having been thermally conditioned by the heat exchanger.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of mortarless, brick- and stone-like veneer systems for walls. More particularly, the present invention relates to suspension rails for providing mortarless or mortar-optional installations of brick- and stone-like panels for covering walls. Embodiments of the invention provide a cage-type suspension rail configured to be partially embedded in the panel and a universal hanging bracket that provides pullout resistance for the panels. An exemplary suspension rail comprises: a first four-sided frame with horizontally and vertically disposed sides; a plurality of posts disposed on and perpendicular to the first frame or the cross bars; a second four-sided frame in communication with the plurality of posts; an upper tab in communication with the first frame for connecting the rail to a surface; wherein the upper tab is disposed outside a perimeter of the first frame and a perimeter of a second frame.
