One example system includes a database storing workflow data for the service, user profile data for a plurality of users, and service usage data for the users; and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to determine a target user engagement level for the service. The electronic processor is configured to retrieve from the database based on the service, a first workflow action, and to execute the first workflow action for the plurality of users. The electronic processor is configured to receive, from the service, a usage level for a user of the plurality of users, and to compare the usage level for the user to the target level for the service. The electronic processor is configured to, when the usage level fails to exceed the target, execute an additional workflow action, different from the first, for the user.

An example of a method comprises: obtaining transaction information from user terminals of a plurality of users using a service provided by a service provider, the transaction information comprising a plurality of pieces of location information of the user terminals; clustering, using an algorithm, the plurality of pieces of location information into a plurality of areas; determining a transaction attribute corresponding to each area in the plurality of areas, the transaction attribute comprising a number of users in a corresponding area and a number of transactions of users using the service in the corresponding area; determining, according to information entropy values of the transaction attributes, a dispersity of the service provided by the service provider according to a number of areas in the plurality of areas and a plurality of transaction attributes corresponding to the plurality of areas.

Abstract: Described herein is a method and system for sorting and delivering postal items. The method includes overlaying a grid onto a sorting area; the grid system includes rows and columns of cells. A set of coordinates is used to indicate to the carrier where an address associated with a piece of mail is located in the sorting area. The method also includes guiding a carrier along the route and indicating to the carrier where mail associated with the address has been sorted.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a photovoltaic installation process. A process may include determining a method of interconnection to couple a photovoltaic system to an electrical system of a structure. The process may further include determining an ideal usage offset ratio for the photovoltaic system based on a known utility rate associated with the structure. Moreover, the process may include estimating a number of modules required to meet the determined ideal usage offset ratio. In addition, the process may include generating a roof plan based on at least a portion of the site survey information, the roof plan including an illustration of each roof section of the roof. The process may also include and one of approving and rejecting the photovoltaic system based on a comparison of estimated production levels and required production levels.

Abstract: A system and a method for identifying, ranking, and matching agents are disclosed herein. The system may include an analytical engine which may collect information from external and internal databases. The analytical engine may use the information collected from these databases, in addition to a success criteria, for determining one or more success factors or key attributes of successful agents. An algorithm within the analytical engine may compute probabilities, trends and variability analysis for determining the impact of the defined key attributes in the successful career developments for prospective or active agents. The analytical engine may identify prospective agents and match them to suitable general agents. A list of agents' leads, ranking reports, and ongoing assessments may be communicated or supplied to general agents through the use of agent computing devices operatively coupled with the analytical engine.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with computing and assigning a task to be performed using a resource at a candidate time are described. In one embodiment, a method includes accessing a scheduling data structure and analyzing data records for tasks, upon which the resource depends, to be performed using one or more other resources, and tasks, upon which other resources depend, to be performed using the resource. A candidate time for performing the task using the resource is calculated based upon dependencies determined between various tasks, and a candidate schedule is generated using the candidate time for the task. The scheduling data structure is modified and regenerated based upon the candidate schedule if the candidate schedule is determined to have a greater performance score than an existing schedule.

Abstract: A mainframe workflow creation method creates and manages managing workflow tasks in a mainframe workflow management system. The method includes activating a workflow creation engine in the mainframe workflow management system by a user of a computing device using a web dashboard, communicating with the mainframe workflow management system over a communication network, and creating workflow tasks corresponding to a mainframe workflow. The method also includes associating the workflow tasks with a mainframe workflow process, and selecting a target mainframe computing system from a plurality of target mainframe computing systems for execution of the mainframe workflow process. The method further includes transmitting the mainframe workflow process to the selected target mainframe computing system over the communication network, and executing the mainframe workflow process, including plurality of workflow tasks, by the selected target mainframe computing system.

Abstract: As disclosed herein, an in-store feedback system permits shoppers to provide positive or negative feedback for a particular item using gestures or spoken language. To do so, the feedback system includes a gaze tracking module that identifies what product a shopper is currently focusing on. For example, a rack, which may contain multiple rows of shelves, is divided into a grid that includes a plurality of cells. By determining what cell the shopper is currently staring at, the gaze tracking system can identify a particular item by knowing which items are placed in which cell. The in-store feedback system may also include a gesture recognition system that identifies and decodes a gesture made by the shopper. For example, a thumbs up is positive feedback but a thumbs down is negative feedback. By recognizing the gesture, the gesture recognition system assigns positive or negative feedback to the item.

Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing product exposure to one or more shoppers in a shopping environment are disclosed herein. One method may include developing a three-dimensional model of the shopping environment indicating a product location of each of a plurality of products, capturing a plurality of images of shoppers using an overhead camera, and computing an estimated field of view of each shopper captured in the plurality of images. Computer vision techniques may be used to determine a location of a facial feature in the plurality of images, determine a head pose, and then assign the estimated field of view. The method may further include, based on the three-dimensional model, computing that a product location exists within the estimated field of view for each shopper, and generating a visibility metric based on an extent to which the product location exists within each estimated field of view.

Abstract: In one example embodiment, a server receives an email message from a user device, and extracts email addresses from the email message. The server determines whether the email addresses are associated with multiple organizations. If it is determined that the email addresses are associated with the multiple organizations, the server sends a response to the email message including a scheduling link that, when selected, provides scheduling information for one or more prospective meeting attendees associated with one or more of the email addresses. If it is determined that the email addresses are not associated with the multiple organizations, the server automatically prompts a meeting to be scheduled on respective calendars associated with the email addresses.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed utilizing cognitive computing to improve banking experiences. A user's financial account(s) may be monitored to predict when a surplus of funds is unnecessarily present and for how long this will likely be the case. Once this is determined, techniques include automatically drafting funds from the account to another account having a higher interest rate where the funds may accrue more interest. The techniques also include predicting when an overdraft may occur and taking appropriate action when such a prediction is made. Predictions may be based upon different weighted inputs used in accordance with a predictive modeling system, which may attempt to predict for a particular user, location, and retailer, whether the user will spend an anticipated amount in excess of the user's current balance. If so, passive (e.g., notifications) and active (e.g., transferring cover funds) actions may be performed.

Abstract: A system and method for multidisciplinary team collaboration may include an algorithm for determining suitable relationships between the team members; a visualization interface for illustrating and managing members in separate groups according to their profiles, expertise, work output, and/or project roles; and the analysis of how members interact and use knowledge content. In the disclosed method, lived-work practices and/or knowledge content may be incorporated in the system to account for human behavior and expand upon existing documented work processes.

Abstract: The present subject matter discloses systems(s) and method(s) for processing survey data. According to the present subject matter, the method(s) include providing a first survey question from a set of survey questions, and receiving a first response to the first survey question from a surveyee, and generating an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file for the first response for storing the first response in the XML file. The method further comprises executing a semantic analysis for the first response to determine an evaluation, and generating a second survey question dynamically from the set of survey questions based on the evaluation. The method further comprises receiving a second response to the second survey question and appending the XML file with a second data structure representing the second response, where the appended XML file is transmitted to a server at pre-defined intervals for analysis of the survey data.

Abstract: An interface is provided for process status determination. The provided interface includes logic for process status determination based on analytics rules for evaluation of processes that are executed at an engine, such as a BPM engine. Process instances are executed through the engine. The execution of process instances may be associated with performing execution tasks at external systems. When the process instances are executed through the process engine, process definitions may be stored at a database coupled to the engine. Enhanced metadata is stored for the process instances' executions at a database metadata table. The enhanced metadata may be stored and utilized for process status determination according to the analytics rules. Process status results are generated based on the enhanced metadata. The enhanced metadata may be evaluated according to the defined analytics rules. An aggregation result is generated based on evaluation of the determined process status results.
